Hi, I'm new to this site.
I'm a Town fan.
Are there any Town fans on here?

Not a Town fan, but would like to welcome you to the site, and Town to the championship. Look forward to playing you again this season.

Re: Huddersfield Town
Thanks tigerrobins.
I worked with some Hull City fans when I worked in York and we were both still in League 2. I had bragging rights that season when we beat you but you did go on to do quite a lot better than us!
We shall probably make it to the KC stadium next season so looking forward to that. In fact I'm looking forward to a lot of the fixtures. Not long now til the fixture list comes out!
We've been knocking at the door of the Championship for so long that I still can't quite believe that we've done it!

Yeah i remember, in fact i don't think we've won at the Galpharm, hopefully well put that right this season.
Isn't it great that the championships becoming yorkshire own league. Though think this year could be the toughest yet, but wish you well after our 6 points obviously.

Re: Huddersfield Town
lol.
Do you mean in the Championship or against you?
In the Championship, I think we will stay up and probably ... hopefully even ... finish mid-table. I don't think we are in a position to be too ambitious and would only set ourselves up for a fall. We are lucky in that our chairman who is a fan wants to build a strong squad and do this sensibly. True, I don't think he expected us to take so long to get out of League One!
If you mean against Hull City... well you've got Steve Bruce in charge ... say no more. He was a terrible manager for us and can be credited with some of our demise in the first place. He had lots to spend and bought a load of rubbish which we were lumbered with. And, to top it off, he sold our star striker, Marcus Stewart, to Ipswich who stole our promotion. Bitter? Who? Me? No...
How do you feel about having Bruce in place?

Re: Huddersfield Town
Not happy, would have preferred Clarke (you know, the one who managed you), or O'Driscoll. I don't rate Bruce, mainly cause he spends alot of money on rubbish (although the first 4 players i've heard us linked with are intresting), and then wants more money to right the players he bought in the first place, oh and with his history of walking out on clubs, can't help feeling he's trying to use us as a stepping stone.
Think we'll join you in a mid Table, just for the hell of it. After pretending that we could be play off material again. In another unremarkable season.
As for the games against you, in all honestly think we'll win the home one, draw/lose at Galpharm, to a dodgey 93 min blatently offside, handballed winner
Who are you most looking forward to seeing? (other than Leeds). Me Blackburn, all that protesting and a manager who shouldn't be in charge will remind me of the mid 90's Hull city. Memories eh

Re: Huddersfield Town
Well I'm looking forward to the fixture list coming out tomorrow so we can plan an away weekend! Would like to go to Bristol City because I'd like to see Jon Stead. Plus Bristol's somewhere I'd like to make a weekend of.
Others I'm looking forward are Peterborough to even the score , Barnsley, Blackpool, Blackburn and Hull City of course. Wouldn't mind a trip to the Molineaux also.
I have to pick and choose away matches due to working patterns. Providing it's a 3pm kick off I can make most of the local ones. Anywhere further afield needs planning.

Dec 15th - 3 points for a nice start to the always hectic christmas period.
April 30th - 3 Points in our chase for a play off place
Lifes good (it's even sunny outside), what more could you ask for?

Yes, Tues night. Are you a Forest fan then, GSC?

Re: Huddersfield Town
Thought you must be. The husband tells me that Graeme Swann plays for Nottinghamshire and combined with the Forest post ... the powers of deduction are just phenomenal, eh?
So what fixtures have grabbed your attention?

Though leeds on boxing day could be tasty after an aggregate score of 7-7 last season.

Re: Huddersfield Town
We were at Chesterfield when you played last season. 7-3. Haha. The news swept through the stand every time you got a goal! Remember that Warnock said in the pre-match that they'd tightened up the defence!
