Re: England U20 vs Ireland U20
Sheesh why doesn't the ref just wear green? Two Irish cheap shots (spear tackle at the ruck on Sisi and then the shoulder charge off the ball) no ycs then a tackle that doesn't go through the horizontal gets a card? Shocking.
The gift of a second try after a reset called despite the English scrum half had the ball didn't help.
Having vented I have to say JJ's kicking has been excellent where England's tackling and lineout have not.

Tha ball just sinks into the mud when dropped so hard to make a good restart. Restarts in the previous game were worse.

Even with 2 TBPs Ireland will be behind Wales in the seedings. (probably due to fewer overall tries)
If the junior Grand Slammers play the Baby Blacks again then so be it. Did I mention that Wales U20 are now the best U20 team in the world?

In terms of his kickinhg game certainly has ROG coaching written all over it - but he can tackle like a 12; good blend

Really? I think they've sounded quite pro-ireland, at least with their reaction to the yellow cards.

Yeah, we could do with a good replacement for ROG; Keatley doesn't seem to be up to the reuired standard

England are just throwing this game away. Ireland and Hanrahan are playing all the intelligent rugby.

Isnt it funny how even in these conditions the scrum is staying up, when at senior level even when its a dry sunny day it rarely stays up

Re: England U20 vs Ireland U20
I know lots of people had high hopes, but this is the second worst team England has put out at this level. Absolutely awful.
Big lumpy forwards and some of the worst basic skills I've even seen. I hope Ireland hump them because, and i don't care how much people refute this, we are only good at this level as a result of brawn.
We desperately need to inject some brains into our youth teams.

Still within 2 tries, we need to strike first in the second half though.

For god's sake!
The lineout isn't functioning, kicking isn't going well. Stop giving the effing ball away and run through some phases like we did in the opening minutes.

I wonder if Penney has stayed to watch two of his new charges (JJ and Scannel). If he has he should be happy with what he has seen so far.

Re: England U20 vs Ireland U20
Ref is awful, and i maintain that Ireland at all levels get away with diving off their feet. BUT - they also have the advantage of not being braindead, like most of our players.
They should win this and good luck to them. A team as poor (and poorly coached) as this England team deserve to go home as early as possible.

Teams don't go home, everyone is guaranteed 5 games in various play-offs. But we have been bad in this first half, and don't deserve to go through to the Cup quarter-final on the back of this performance.
