First topic message reminder :

Sláinte and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The Pub has made it's way to Jedburgh, home of Greig Laidlaw who kicked the winning points for Scotland on Tuesday night.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of all of the June Internationals debutants hanging over the bar.

Ale cuppa coffee mug guinness cider RedWine Bubbly

It's continuing tomorrow morning, Ozzy, there's been loads of rain delays today.

Starts at 11:45am on ITV, can't remember if it's channel 2 or 4 though sorry!

If Djoko wins it'll be incredible. Be the only one of the big 3 to hold all the slam titles at the same time. It's crazy to think neither Federer or Nadal have ever managed that.

Both Penform. I'll never change either. Like you me darlin, Im too old to.
Just thinkin, like ya do... 20,000 pished and disconsolate Paddies, lookin for a cheap consolitary shaag after this one.

If only they were in Poland.

Erm

Man! Result!

What really gets my goat is that the English are in Ukrainje. Their shaags will be so much cheaper. And only 200 traveled.

Is that both double-racist & sexist, or just the Truth?

Dunno. Not sure.

I've just read that Niall O'Connor could be returning to Ulster next season. How much sex does one team need?! Can't wait to go and watch them next season. Wink

And on that thought I'm off to bed. Back to the grind stone this week. Nite all.

3 centre midfielders, 3 centre midfielders 3 centre midfielders. Why won't Trap play 3 centre mids? We have 2 good defensive guys in Whelan and Andrews but they offer us nothing going forward but they have to due to a stupid formation. We were very unlucky with the 2nd (was a free out, and a feicing slice) and 3rd goals (how unlucky was that) but the Croats dominated us. We sat back, allowed them to come at us, like we did to Wales in the 6N. You let a team run at you they will cause you problems I don't care if it's fudging Lacrosse or Soccer, it's the golden rule. Croatia were full value for the win, we showed some promise when the game was over, McClean needs to start ahead of McGeady.

Might delve deeper tomorrow. But I'm off now.

That William Hill ad is nuts. The only reason a booky wants you to 'back the boys' is if he thinks they are going to lose.

T,
No need to deeply analyse it man. Ireland are still playing the same game as they did in 1988. Only this time, with shoite players.

There. That saved you a lot of soul-searching. OK

ASBO, O'Driscoll played inside centre on Saturday alongside Earls so I don't see why he and Cave couldn't slot in together. As Cave was on the bench I presume that was the back up plan anyways...personally I think Cave may be better, or equally well off at inside centre anyways but keep that to yourself because I'm on thin ice with my fellow Ulster posters as it is censored

D'arcy or McFadden..much a muchness but really what little faith I had in McFaddens defence took a nose dive on Saturday so flash Gordon for me.... either way without Earls I'm concerned about our ability to shackle Sonny Bill again.

The leftfield choice would be Trimble but Kidney doesn't do leftfield.

Its been all academic for a 100 years Rodders. All the rest is self-perpetuated hype.

There are 2 Leagues in World Rugby. And we are not in the 1st. Either are Wales, Italy or Scotland.

None of us ever will be. SKY will tell you different. It brings the punters in.

Only England & France can break into the 1st League.

Lets hope we get another SLAM before we all die.

Meanwhile... Its great to be a Leinster fan!

Gibbo I respectfully disagree. Ireland have a lot of very useful players who both started tonight and were left unused on the bench. Defensivly tonight they were both unlucky and naive.

Seriously man I don't accept that... maybe once.. but not now.. no no no.

Mediocrity is not a birth right. Without belief you have nothing.... George Best, Keano, Geoghegan, Woodie, BOD.... these guys didn't settle for second best...ever.

...as the Munster boys say... to the brave nothing is impossible (or something along those lines)..... guinness

It wont change the Truth lads. Rugby-wise. Football-wise. For Ireland. Believe me. I know this to be true.

But, keep on believing it will.

It will cost ya over time mind. But that's ok too. Its all a high learning-curve, is Life. Even in Sport.

Nite lads. Love yer youthful enthusiasm. Its required. Its so necessary. I feed my cynical bones off it.

Believe.
