The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Jedburgh
First topic message reminder :
Sláinte and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to Jedburgh, home of Greig Laidlaw who kicked the winning points for Scotland on Tuesday night.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of all of the June Internationals debutants hanging over the bar.

Hmmm, and a trip to Clermont for Clermont/Leinster is tempting ...

I hope Connacht stuff them for that! And Quins.
At least Zebre didn't get Leinster/Clermont/Toulouse. That could have gotten seriously ugly. It was always going to be tough for them whatever the draw, but if this isn't an ideal group to debut in I don't know what is.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Jedburgh
Thats the right attitude Glas. Obviously when I saw the group I kind of went 'Ouch' on yours and dreamers behalf, but this time last year after the draw I was arguing with all comers in the pub that Ulster would get into the quarters. No-one agreed but Rava and we all know how that turned out...
So feic the challenge, just go out and play your brand of rugby. Glory awaits! Maybe. Probably not. But maybe!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Jedburgh
So my early forecast for pool winners is this -
1 - Munster
2 - Toulouse
3 - Harlequins
4 - Ulster
5 - Leinster
6 - Toulon
with the best runners up being Biarritz and Northampton Saints.
So that's 3 Irish, 3 French and 2 English into the QF's.

I cant wait for the fixture list now. So much planning to do.
I am hoping for a few things Santa
1. Leinster v Exeter in Dublin when we are in Castres.
2. Our away game against Saints coinciding with Chiefs at home the same weekend (but not the same day)
3. Our away game against Glasgow coinciding with Munsters away game against Edinburgh.
That'll do for now

Absolutely priceless newspaper headline/photo mismatch I can't resist sharing;
In the age of twitter and viral memes, I believe a savvy editor of a small local rag could boost sales and gain publicity by doing just such a thing on purpose

Happy daze - tis going to be a fantastic experience for Exe, this top level Euro club thingy!! Players, coaches, grounfstaff and fans are going to have a ball, loads of visitors, plenty of good rugby, and some cracking places to visit. Out on a limb here, but I predict that the winners of the Heino in 2013 will come from our group!!

Asbo - count me in for a trip down your way for when our sides meet.
I had slight hysterics when I first saw the group but have calmed down now, and font actually feel so bad about it. Wish I had a better idea of how we can play with Easterby in charge, but I can't wait for it! Tough games. We've got to.aim.to win 4, with anything on top being a bonus
And just think of all the reg meet ups!

Munster got as good a draw as we could have hoped for. OK we don't have an Italian team but we avoided Toulon, Harlequins, Tigers, Clermont, Ospreys etc. Ulster should be very pleased with their draw as well.
