Rocky Fielding joins Matchroom
To be honest I can't say I blame him. He was in training for months before he got a date for a fight, Warren said it was going to be Luke Blackledge, that didn't go through and only found out 2 days before the fight he was fighting Ciaran Healy
Warren stable seems to be dwindling!

Warren's time is nearly up.
I stated a couple of months back that I'd heard on the grapevine he was in trouble.
I'm not sure that even haye Chisora will happen.

The post Olympic period will be interesting to see if Warren has the bidding power to match Matchroom when signing the top Olympians.

Warren isn't in trouble really...like any sensible entrepreneur he'll have seperate companies so If it goes belly up and his creditors come calling he just closes that one down and caries on through the others...so they don't get paid!!!
That fat shop lifting slug of a chef recently did that.....screwing over his local suppliers apparently.....
Cheap trick that I think Calzaghe was on the end of.....once

Would've thought they'd be mad to sign with Warren on some obscure boxing channel ahead of Hearn with Sky's backing.

I can't believe he'd be anything but outwardly confident that Boxnation would succeed so I doubt very much this ITV 4 thing plays...
Why would anybody subscribe or advertisers show interest in Boxnation..Or even more alarmingly fighters stick around!!! If a company was thought to be going down the pot!!
Worst thing a Company can do is hint to people it's struggling..
Bs If you ask me this ITV4 thing..

Truss
That's the thing though, fighter are not sticking - they are leaving.
They are not getting fights.
I've heard a couple of shows have been cancelled as they would have run at a loss (eg lack of ticket sells), but then dressed up as injuries.
Boxnation is not getting enough subscribers. I believe Haye Chisora is a last real attempt to make this work.

Re: Rocky Fielding joins Matchroom
I think the PPV or specialist channels at extra cost model is becoming less and less viable. Streams (whether illegal or not) are easy to find and most people are happy to use for one off events. Part-time chanels such as Boxnation just don't offer enough.
The only thing people are willing to pay "extra" for is a full time channel with a variety of sports such the SKY sports channels, where for pretty much 247365 they are getting something - as opposed to 3 hours per week.

Matchroom definitely seems the way to go.
I would like the Hearns to slow down on signing new guys in case they become saturated and not able to properly promote every fighter.

They have a deal with sky now as the sole promoter and they need to have a bill every week. With Hatton and warren out f the picture and maloney having a small stable he needs to keep the names flowing

Re: Rocky Fielding joins Matchroom
I have heard, on here I think, that Sky are cutting down their boxing and therefore will not have a bill every week.
However, this may mean that instead of 1 headline fight each week, we may get 2 or 3 higher profile fights every 2 weeks or so... here's hoping.

Oh, right, didn't know that. That's good and good on Matchroom, they seem to be trying and not too many disgruntled fighters yet in their stable.
If they managed to snatch Price they would have a steller UK team!

No biggie really. I don't tend to bother with the smaller shows anyway. Why not have less shows? Economically more viable
I thought that's what I said - it's what I meant. Less shows but with 2 or 3 higher profile/quality fights on each. Quality over quantity.
