First topic message reminder :

Ok, it's almost here and low and behold I am hyped up as usual.

Looking forward to the card

My predicitons

Arce KO
Rigondeaux KO
Bailey shock KO win
Pac via late KO or a draw...ok Pac by late KO

That's the fight.

looking back you're kind of right, but overall Pacquiao hurt Bradley more.
Absolutely. By volume landed, accuracy, defense and pain dealt/ received Pacquiao won. Bradley was slapping for crissakes!

Yeah - Pacquiao vs Mayweather is gone. That will never happen now as Mayweather will say that Pac has been beaten recently so it adds nothing to his legacy, doing something that Bradley has done. He'll want Bradley. Bradley SHOULD rematch Pacquiao, but thats not gonna happen unless Bob Arum thinks he'll make money from it.

Damn you Arum. Might write him an open letter.

That's life, it's 2012... we've been screaming for this fight since '08, both have been responsible, even if Manny won all it would've done is keep the DREAM and excitement of this superfight going... but it wouldn't have materialised.

Have to say, I'm genuinely stunned at the backlash here. Not the first time I've been in the minority, and won't be the last, of course, but as I said, I had Bradley nicking it by a round. Manny seems to secure rounds by nothing more than reputation, from what I can gather.

Besides, it doesn't benefit me to say any of this - I predicted that Manny would win with plenty to spare! Pacquiao switched off in the last quarter and gifted a couple of those rounds away.

I am just saying it was close, which it was. As for Pac v May. Win,lose or draw tonight, Mayweather would destroy pac. That much is obvious

Didn't actually see the Marquez fight, but have to comment on tonight, don't know how anyone in their right mind could say Bradley won that fight. He did win a few later on, but obviously not enough to swing it his way. Good trio in Primetime studio, worked well together.

I had Manny winning 7 rounds to 5, don't fully agree that it was a disgraceful decision seen far worse robberies. I do sympathize with Manny but then again 'what goes around comes around' i.e. Marquez :-)

Good fight regardless of the scoring. It reminds me of Euro-vision scoring. Pure political. Next time I see a high profile fight, I'll just watch the fight and ignore the scoring.

Rewatching some of the closer rounds I can maybe, at a push, call 1 a draw and give 2 more to Bradley, so that's 116-113 Pac. Genuinely can't see how this can be scored to Bradley - powder-puff punches, throwing less and with less accuracy, cannot see how that adds up to a win.

I think we're over reacting to say the manweather v pac fight now can't happen.

I had it a draw so you can argue it either way for me, but most of the boxing world see it as a pac win. If pac wins the rematch in november I can't see why we wouldn't have the fight we all want in April next year.

Point your missing is 'pac will have no bargaining power whatsoever' Mayweather could literally make him enter ring like a stripper if you know what I mean, pac would have to agree to every demand.

Mayweather has nothing to gain now. The air of greatness around Manny is gone in a tangible fashion now. Mayweather has everything to bargain with.

But Mayweather would demolish him if it came to it. Pains me to say.

Ring generalship: Pacquiao walked him down all night
Effective agression: Pacquia was the one doing the hurting
Clean punching: Spoke for itself.
Defense: Bradley landed less than 20%

Manny won in every single way.

Mayweather would tear him to shreds, he looked near finished, and looked gassed after halfway and didnt throw anything for the first two minutes from like 7 on, I really thought Manny looked shocking.

Can't believe in this day and age we don't have the option to the remove commentary from a channel but still receive crowd noise/fight sounds etc, found a website like this once with no commentary just the sounds of the venue it was bliss.

I think Pacquiao lost the fight by being complacent, rather than Bradley beating him. Pacquiao may have landed more punches overall, but he didn't seem to do enough to actually stand out and win the round. As pointed out before, Pacquiao seemed to finish the rounds strongly and hope that would be enough. It was lazy and he suffered the consequences. He should have boxed well throughout the rounds instead of at the end, it would have eliminated all doubt, at least in the judges' minds.

As far as Mayweather v Pacquiao, Mayweather avoided Pacquiao when Pac was at his peak IMO. Now I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen, as Pac is on the way down. Pacquiao wouldn't have lost this fight 2/3 years ago.

Well I came in fairly drunk last night and have woke with a hangover from hell (There is definitely NOT method in the magners) and am struggling to believe that Manny was on the wrong end of a dodgy decision. The judges have had 3 f'in chances to give JMM a decision and have managed to hand Manny all of them and now he's beaten by Tim Bradley. And would you believe it? Tim's signed with Top Rank? No?

Anyone see it as karma?

*Disclaimer- I have not watched the fight but am going by majority of reactions.

As a casual boxing fan this is how I see the Mayweather v Pac fight. I don't think it should happen now because it is clear Pac is past his prime. If it would have happened 3 years ago it would have been a very close contest. But now the Pacman is past his prime and Mayweather would walk it. That's probably why Mayweather will come out and say he wants to fight now Whistle

I agree Jeff mate, no real appetite for it for me now anyhow, the time has passed when it should've happened, it will be as relevant as the Lewis/Tyson result.

You have to be kidding me if we're meant to care after the disgraceful shafting Marquez got, Pacquiao got all he deserved and in a twisted way i'm glad he lost a fight he should have won.

you're right its in a twisted way ghosty... manny wasn't a judge in either fight, and as an aside he appears to have taken this 'defeat' with dignity, something marquez has never done, from what i've seen (not that i blame him for that).

marquez was jobbed against manny, manny jobbed againts bradley... two wrongs don't make a right, both equally bad

If only Pacquiao had taken his last 'win' with as much dignity.

... well he'd have been one of the first fighters in history to say right after the fight that he was given a gift, melkor. I'm no pactard, but i don't see him as the villain of the piece, he doesn't score the fights.
