To be fair they have little choice, they've got to get a four try bonus point.

Oh for gods sake no sooner do I say that and RSA score a break away try... I'd apologise but then again I did just curse England...

englands defence is too strong for them at moment, shouldn't they try for field position first.

Good strike move from the BB's but it was bad defence from England.

Thought that was clearly double movement from the English winger there.

ER, Mills is showing some very nice touches. Maybe 36 won't get that "guaranteed" 12 spot after all!

So as it stands I think that's all three teams on 1o points but we top the pool on points difference.
Is that right?

How many times did the S.A. players go off their feet in the lead up to that try?!?

South Africa are fired up for this. The Bokke doesn't go down without a fight. I thought England had this one in the bag before the game but it seems SA could get their 4 tries.
England look very powerful. The 2nd rows look massive.

No need for the baby boks to replicate their daddy boks thuggish behaviour. This is a gentlemans game afterall.

And goodnight. Big improvement from the Boks this game.
England didn't play intelligently at all and deserve to be going out.

Re: JWC - Eng v SA
Poor from England. The tackling was simply incompetent and the half backs unintelligent and offered no direction far to individualistic. That's not mentioning the hookers inability to put a decent throw into the lineout. I can't work out who we missed more Rob Buchanan or George Ford.

England deserved to lose that game imo. They was to complacent SA needed 4, yes 4 trys to win. England thought that was an impossible task.
Well played the Baby Boks. Well played indeed.

Re: JWC - Eng v SA
Good effort from S.A. and they deserve to go through.
But England...
0-3 at half time and we barely turned up in the second half. There was no urgency what so ever. The annoying thing is I could almost see them looking at the score board 'just finish within 7'.
We played a stupid game plan. Why didn't we try and pin them back in the corners if that was the thinking? We could have done something other than fling the ball wide and wait for Marland Yarde to get turned over. It summed England up that they made a good 3-4 clean breaks and knackered them all up.
So frustrating.

Brilliant second half from the Boks -- all credit to them. Very impressed by the back rower, Addendorf (sp?) and the back, Jordaan (sp?). Biltonbek, who do they play for in SA?

SA by far the better side.
It's as if the boys in white thought they didn't need to try in that second half after a dominant period. Safas came out fired up and taught them a lesson. Hope they learn it and don't just expect to make semis in future. Worst ever performance from eng at this level.

SA topped the group because they had Italy between their 2 tough matches. Ireland were clearly tired against England and England tired against SA tonight.

I don't know about the first, but Jordaan plays Super Rugby for the Sharks

Every time I've seen Korree Britton play he can't hit a cow's backside with a banjo! Very physical player, but needs to improve his core skills or move to prop.

Congratulations SA, deserved winners, you really attacked that 2nd half with determination.
England seriously lacked their absent experienced leaders in that game. Players like Ford & Kvesic would have helped direct the squad when the Boks were coming at them. As it was no one took hold and they played silly rugby.

Re: JWC - Eng v SA
SA were very impressive in the second half, but still pathetic to concede 4 tries in such a short period. England didn't seem to know what they were trying to achieve (at times I think it was just a losing bonus point) which just invited SA on and couldn't raise their game when SA came at them.
How Britton retained the starting berth after the line-out disaster against Ireland I have no idea. I also thought Heathcote was too deep in the first half, but again that may just have been the England team unsure what style they wanted to play.
No complaints about the result, England now need to ensure they go home only having lost one game. Hopefully they'll set out to play a bit more against Ireland, and we may as well focus on those who will be eligible next year like Slade and Hill.

Agree with most of the post match comments. Congrats to SA, they wanted that more than England.
The most inept performance I have ever seen by us at this level, and we didn't have a clue.

Re: JWC - Eng v SA
Well I honestly didnt expect that, but Im happy.
Lets call it the battle of the bad lineout throwers. Seriously its a hookers primary job. SA and England need to go back and think about the selection of their hookers.
Glad our tighthead got replaced early, I thought his head was going to go through his backside at some stage.
England looked good individually, but it wasnt a great team effort by them.Questionable tactics and kicking at posts from very far out showed that they didnt back themselves, which I dont understand as they were the clear favourites for this game.It looked more like they were just trying to stop SA from getting the 4 tries instead of trying to get the win.
Some reall talent coming through though.

Its anyones tournament now. Fiji ran the bbs ragged for a lot of the game this morning. Wales will have been encouraged by the way the match went. SA and France is it?
Id be confident if i were backing wales now.

Re: JWC - Eng v SA
England U20s should be ashamed of that performance and the coaching staff should be ripping into them for it. I am not one for getting angry over sporting performances but that was dire. I have got used to the age groups playing with adventure and purpose so that came out of the blue. Very poor and I hope they've learned a lesson.
Re: JWC - Eng v SA
Inexcusable level of commitment and urgency the players need a good kick up the backside after that performance!
Credit to SA for showing what we lacked.
Losing like that is even more irritating when you have the players to deliver a win and you get the impression they were not all that bothered - very disappointing.
How can you have that amount of possession and not use some of it to convert into points??
We aren't used to seeing this type of performance at this level from England and I hope we don't see it again.

Very good second half by SA.
England's performance highlighted the issues we have quite nicely. We develop athletes rather than rugby players. So many core skills just not present.
I was too depressed to write anything last night - still rather shocked.

Unfortunately, this year we didn't even manage athletes. Awful across the park.
Well done to South Africa. To England - I don't know where to start, but this the worst coached, conditioned and talented an England side to have played at this level. I don't think a single player will make a serious step up, and if they do, it is an awful indictment of the quality of the Prem. I don't think i'm prone to hyperbole, but this was shameful, inept, gutless.

Lads, ye're being very harsh on the English players. As I've said earlier, they played only 4 days ago. It was on a bog of a pitch to make matter worse so that would have tired them out more.
England were well on top in the first half but physically fell away after half time.
