The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Christchurch
First topic message reminder :
Kia ora and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to Christchurch, as it prepares to host its first test match in over 2 years. While reconstruction continues post-earthquake there's plenty of vacant lots for the pub to "occupy".
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Llanelli legend Nigel Davies, and local heroes Richie McCaw and Dan Carter.

MrsP - no. If she carries on (which I don't think she will) then I'd sort it out myself. I'm not afraid of dealing with people like her - met a few of them over the years in workplaces. I just have tact and diplomacy unlike some.
Rory - It's not only people not wanting to burden others or appearing weak, but also the level of cynicism directed at people with mental/emotional problems. People are made to feel ashamed of these types of problems I think.

Yeah I know. You are often just seen as feeling sorry for yourself, or being over sensitive, or taking things too seriously. Unfortunately, I often get all of these comments thrown at me.

Exactly....and add to that dragging people down...speaking of which, I'd better sign off before I do. People are leaving messages for Billy, and he won't see them!

Gibbo, I think of the "Lovely girls" competition in Fr.Ted whenever I hear that word.
Ted: Doesn't Mary have a lovely bottom?
Other priest: Careful ted, that might offend the girls
Ted: Of course, they all have lovely bottoms

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Christchurch
Just been reading back on the whole "modern art" conversation from earlier, got to say I agree with the consensus.
I went to a modern art display for my friend's birthday in London in April. One or two good pieces but the rest what just a load of twaddle. The worst one (I may have mentioned it at the time) being a collection of the artists toenail clippings in a glass bowl. How the smeg is that art??

Argh, Andy Murray's been knocked out in the 2nd round at Queens. Awful prep for Wimbledon.

Evening all
Hope all are well. Just settling in ofr the Cloggies vs. Germany in the roundball. Will be a blessed relief from the knackering day I've had trying to juggle a Cuddle in a bad way trial, risk management around a kidnapping from the weekend, and 2 in custody for a GBH!!!
Where's that
In other news thanks to all who have voted for the wife in the ironing photo, but...
... the wife is being caught. It is of vital importance that she wins pampering and shiny sleek hair which is apparently the prize. It is important as it will stop her moaning at me and hence my life will be better. If you've not voted please vote for Charlotte Osborn. Use your computer, phone, iPad anything that means you can cast multiple votes. Get your relatives, friends, co workers, everyone to vote. It is vital to national security. (Ok so that is over egging it a bit, but it would make me happy!!!!)
Thanks folks

Organisations don't allow forums press passes though Hoog, that's a part of it anyways. We need an official site to promote our writers' work for us to get access to a lot of things.
Tis good for the site for us to have all our best articles arranged in a more professional manner as well, tis really good for promoting the site.

Partly we can make articles look "nicer" on the Journal with pics/vids etc, and we always link stories on there back to a thread on here - the idea is to try and increase the poster base.
And it gives us the chance to send people along to sports events, for free
Edit, or what Dreamer said.
Anyways, I'm off to have soup for supper. mutter mutter dentist mutter

Ah wow! Just checked one of my random e-mail accounts that I've not been on for months (I used it more for the sites I'd upload my stories on) and I've got some more reviews

Holland offering very little to this German onslaught. 1939 all over again. Is Gibbo hiding behind the sofa? Or digging out his football boots should he be needed.

Huntelaar will come on in the 2nd half. Saw van Marwijk talking to him. We need a mini-miracle here. But I still believe. We had 61% possession... Germans just clincal.
Need Van Bommel off VD Vaart on and De Jong to push us forward and stop pishing around.
