The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Christchurch
First topic message reminder :
Kia ora and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to Christchurch, as it prepares to host its first test match in over 2 years. While reconstruction continues post-earthquake there's plenty of vacant lots for the pub to "occupy".
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Llanelli legend Nigel Davies, and local heroes Richie McCaw and Dan Carter.

Missed the game on TV but listened to some of it on the radio.
Someone else summed it up. Spain are reigning World Champions. Nuff said.
All the other things about fans and heart etc. So true.

I agree with what he (Keane) is saying though. Even if I cant even stand to see him, never mind hear him. He's right to not accept mediocrity and the "Aren't we great craic even though we're crap?" Attitude.
Its just the way he went about it, that still rankles with me.
Basically, most of those guys would be at home in a Pub team. They have no technical ability at all. Harsh. But true.
Anyway, night regs.
Love & Peace.

Ah he's laying into the 'we're a small country' mentality, that the fans can't be expected just to come along for a sing song etc. ... he's not happy with the performance of the players and the goals.
Good old Keano..... get him to do the team talk against the ABs on Saturday.....

One Irishman is standing up today. Peter Lawrie is -2! Second place he is.
Gibbo, you have some point even though you are being far too dramatic about it. Keano was nver afraid to take a stand that's what was great about him. Ireland had a mediocre setup back then and someone had to bring it up. The FAI are still a joke mind you.

Evening all. We won our semi-final tonight 9-3. we were docked 10 goals for 2 fill-in players and 3 for delaying the start while I recruited said fill-ins off the sidelines, opposition were docked 10 for their fill-ins. Our fill-ins were better an their's .

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Christchurch
Bit depressed.
Just saw this.
"World Irish Dancing Champion Lauren Wales, 13, from Blaydon on Tyne, carried the flame through Loanhead in Midlothian."
The World Champion at our National Dance is,
(1) English
(2) Called Wales
(3) Carrying the Olympic flame in Scotland!
Are we good at anything just now?

Cheer up mrs p! The night is yet young.
Tommy Bowe's coming home!
And I've just bought myself a rather snazzy pair of boxers.
All is good in the world. Except Lee Westwoods fortunes in the golf. He has the Gilly's fiver on him this time around and he's letting the pressure get to him.

From the horse's mouth
"@aledparry: Just been for food in harvester and I saw Harry Redknapp walking into the stadium. Drove past his car with private number plate."
He's a decent bloke, not as unreliable as se of the others!

If so, he probably went in for talks. I don't think the Swans cannot afford him or his transfer budget. Also, helluva commute to Landore from his Sandbanks mansion!

Good morning Billy, I hope the superglue is almost set and you'll be ready for action soon. I think you know already how glad everyone on here was to hear you were on the mend.
On another note, the full beauty of coming into work at 8am just dawned itself upon me in the form of the loudest, longest and still resonating guff from my posterior that I can never get to do in this shared office. This is why the word contented was invented

Special Good Morning Billy. Great to see you back. Hope the recovery is coming along well. As the others have said you have been missed. Even if it was only to get the early morning coffee on the go.
Take care.
