The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Christchurch
First topic message reminder :
Kia ora and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to Christchurch, as it prepares to host its first test match in over 2 years. While reconstruction continues post-earthquake there's plenty of vacant lots for the pub to "occupy".
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Llanelli legend Nigel Davies, and local heroes Richie McCaw and Dan Carter.

Sorry for not getting back to yer Gibbo, I'd just left work earlier. Lightning does strike twice, especially at the RDS! Unreal to watch it. Group o death in the HC for sure but hey, bring it on!

They dont need a Force. They are all inter-related. Just get Super-Gran to sort them out.

Great win for England, Bread. They Believed. And Hodgson made some crucial subsitutions. Hes learning on the England job. Only had a few months to get them ready. So go Roy. Enjoy it while you can man.
Cos when England go out, watch the SUN try to destroy him. He is so experienced Internationally. Best choice in the circumstances. And... hes English. There's novel.

I'll have someone sent round. Dont worry about the white jacket with the funny straps. It's a comfy jacket. You will be safe. We will explain who you are after you have your medication.
You are a Leinster fan and your team just won the Heino. Happy now?

Stirring stuff
My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.

Folks, I knew there was an England footie game on (don't mind that per se), but chose to head off to a pub with no tv. Earlier comment about my local being packed, and waiting for ages at the bar, decided that one.
Good luck to our NH teams later today.

Evening pub
We did the same, the pub wasn't exactly packed but the service was sooo slow we headed off elsewhere. And then somewhere else, then somewhere else after that! The last place was too loud and playing shoite music so decided it was home time. I am officially middle-aged!
I've had some real tonight! Very nice too. Doesn't mix so well with though!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Christchurch
Yeah on my phone. Hopefully it works.
I'll not die if I sleep in; I'm meant to be training tomorrow and I need to be alert. I've a friend who's been doing judo for 20 odd years and he's recently started teaching two of us. We go to a field and do some warm-ups, break fall exercises, go through the footwork and body positions for various throws. Then we 'spar' although obviously he has to go very easy on us until we learn how to fall better. I'm at the most basic level. I've done like three sessions total. But it's so much fun! I love picking up a few bruises, it's great.
