Racism at Euro2012 - oh, the irony..!

Given all the hoo-haa over potential for trouble at this summers tournament, the first major report of racism during a match being investigated has actually concerned Spanish fans' chants to Balotelli the other night! Tho, what can you expect from a country that thought it ok for people to dress up as golly-wogs labelled 'Hamiltons family' at the Grand Prix....??

More in line with expectations the Russians are also being investigated following their match, great follow up to a fine for their fans attacking stewards.

Well Spain have always been racist haven't they? Remember England-Spain 2004? The worst trouble appears to be from Russian fans, very worrying as the World Cup is being held there in 6 years.

The Russians didnt like losing their Empire. I was in Estonia and they still come in in their droves and push them around in Pubs & clubs. Not pretty. The Estionans just laugh and wind them up. Cool people.
The Spanish have a record on it for years now. Most Eastern-Bloc countries as well.

Of course this is generalisation. But it is strongly prevalent and is accepted too easy by their authorities.

A point I have been making. Why are we having such a pop at ukraine and poland for stuff which happens in our neighbour/second home/footballing icon on club and international level spain. lets sort our own house out first shall we!!

The last time that England fans caused trouble in any large number was (I think) Charleroi in Euro 2000 after beating the Germans 1-0.

England started it and experienced the very worst of it - in the 70's & 80's. The whole hooligan World copied it (the Clog animals still do). They thought it was cool. Now? English soccer is a beacon and a template of how that can be turned around.

Sorry, poor english was hard to understand as was the slightly abstract "spain is our house" point you were trying to make. If you'd stuck to just the second paragraph we'd have been fine......
