NH Will Win
So, right here I am willing to put down the line my reputation about rugby knowledge and suggest that will be wins this weekend reversal of last week.
Yes.
Ireland will beat all blacks for first time in history by making a close contact and kick game in wet Christchurch.
SA will lose narrow game to more expansive and intelligent game of England.
Wales will make the win over Australia after getting over there rusty and jet lag performance.

Re: NH Will Win
Those arent such bad selections and i reckon at least one will be correct.
NZ dont always make great favourites and if they do the standard 'improve accuracy' approach and ignore the fact that this is still a live series, the Irish are still in it and will be desperate to pull out all stops then they could be wondering why the irish are getting in their faces so often. The media here have all but written them off and that might play into their hands.
Likewise...oz and SA margins were not convincing enough to suggest a 3-0 series win.

Well, other than a moment of insanity regarding the Irish, you may be right.
I agree with you that England will beat SA.
Wales will come close, but fall at the final hurdle. Another close but no cigar story. I dont believe they have the mentality to win, although I think their team has the quality to.
Ireland need a miracle of biblical proportions just to avoid a drubbing.

Re: NH Will Win
I don't think any of the NH sides will win this weekend. England have the best chance IMO.
Ireland have Kidney so not a hope of beating the ABs. Wales are not as good as some people think so I predict another Aussie win.
Enjoy the gloating while it lasts because its only a matter of time before the NH teams start beating SH teams regularly. The gap is closing as we saw during the world cup and its going to get smaller.
The SH had a big head start in terms of professionalism and the NH is still catching up but its only a matter of time before we do.

I think Wales will win at least one game against Aus, England could get a win against SA although I’d be fairly surprised and if Ireland beat NZ I’m going on the lash for the rest of the year, but I can’t see it happening.

Who, pray do tell, was gloating. The OP is suggesting the NH will win this weekend. The last game is irrelevant. A win is still the priority for this match and it wouldn't be a shock if any of the teams won. Though I must say AWOP that Ireland have played NZ plenty of times in the wet before in NZ and it never really hindered the attacking play.

Because there is a lot of rugby played on the weekend and it wouldn't make balance personality to watch 4 games and caring about the one between least ranking teams.
I have to some time eating and cutting the grass and clean the house and pay attention to the girlfriend or she will leave with the gardeners she bring.
Sorry about Scotland and Fiji but at this weekend I just not caring.

Re: NH Will Win
Once again Scotland will be the only NH winners
And you know what - Its likely to be the most entertaining game as well - could be 60+ points in total with a feast of running rugby
England and ireland have no chance - Engladn simply do not have the backs to score enough points, NZ are simpley too good.
Wales have a chance but I wouldn't bet my house on it
Scoptland should win - although being scotland they probably will get their arses handed to them

This is the serious matter we are reach now.
Maybe here on the forum about rugby for the fans of the rugby is some gather of some quite obsessive and maybe it make a sense now about all the fighting and squabble that goes on!
Maybe we can make some time to discuss is or not its healthy to watch so much rugby and talk about all the time? and make fighting about small difference in selecting the combinator for Lions tour already in 2011?

Re: NH Will Win
For me in New Jersey the Scotland match is the easiest to watch since it is on Friday night at 10:00pm. A fair few lads will be here to bless the start of another Rugby laden 24 hours. Most likely won't watch NZ-Ire since its on at 3:30am, but that leaves Wales for breakast (the match, not the country). My club is into its summer 7s thingy already and my kids and I are playing till noon. Then, to the end of regular season party. I will have recorded the SA-Eng and NZ-Ire so will download to DVD or portable hard drive so we can watch at the party. Then we go home and pass out. Jeez, watching is tough work.
And, by the way, I think Wales and England will be there to the end and could both pull off a 'W'. Scotland should win. Sadly, Ireland are in a spot of trouble.

AWOP you wish this thread to be treated seriously?I will do you that courtesy. The Springboks have strengthened there team by adding another
top grade Goal kicker in Lambie. In case Morne Steyn gets a a case of the yips,at altitude the Boks tend to win most of there matches.England if Toby Flood starts at 10 with a more postive game plan have a chance BUT still think the Boks have too much.
Australia have gone with the same side no room for Cooper,or Kurtley Beale so they are feeling confident.Wales IF they get a good start and shut down Genia[easier said than done]they have a chance this one will be close.BUT Home win purely on Home advantage.
Finally the AllBlacks made one enforced change the replacement 6 should have started in the first place.Thomson is better at the breakdown area, ball carrying, and Lineout.HE is not a Kaino in his Style But complements the current back row.expect him and RM to play left and right instead of 6 and 7.Ireland will have studied the Videos and try to correct there mistakes,if it is bad weather result will be closer.I would have expected that any way,AllBlacks play regularly at Invercargill,Dunedin or Wellington`s Athletic Park.Wet weather rugby to them is like a duck to water HOME WIN!!!

last week i was totally gutted Wales didnt win even tho history at that stadium told us we wouldnt . that genia will never play a better game . this week after looking at the line up my expectations are a lot lower . glad beck playing and Ryan Jones but unless we win more break downs and put pressure on their number nine and for Philips to stop thinking about his shopping list before he passes and make quick ball then i cant see it happening

Re: NH Will Win
Ireland will suffer their worst all blacks defeat in history with a battered squad further weakend by injuries, the core of their team is absolutly shattered from playing solid heinkein and magners rugby and morale is low after last weekends dismantling...the all blacks also have a very scary looking team and are just getting into their stride!!!
England will lose by many more points with south africa dusting off the rustiness....the game will be at altitude and England are still arsing around with the midfield and back three and are not sure how best to play the game.
Wales have a great chance to beat Australia, the wales team looks great on paper with the crucial Warburton, A Jones and Preistland playing which were missing from the semi defeat at the RWC..... as mentioned they will also be getting over there rusty and jet lag....and when fresh are the fittest team in world rugby.
Scotland and Visser should put 20 points on a rubbish fiji team but robinson is already giving the spiel about not playing 7's and win the forward battle so expect another 3 point win from the boot (how is robinson still an international coach ???)

Lambie play last week already.
Cooper, Beale under the cloud about arrest so advised to the team management not to selecting.
Thompson plays to wide ranging and not close ruck defender like Kaino or Vito.

Re: NH Will Win
Jimmy genia has played better games already- sxv and 3N finals last year as well as several sxv matches this year. Last week was par for the course for genia- easily the best 9 in world rugby at the moment. Wales were warned in advance of his abilities and he still starred.
No reason to suggest he wont do it again as he plays the position in a way that cant be covered easily such is his skill and speed around the fringes of the pack.
How genia goes could again be the decider.
Wales strengths must be in getting their wingers into the match with as much space as possible as cuthberts try showed. Simple but thats when wales are at their best.

Yes but when you said "The Springboks have strengthened there team by adding another top grade Goal kicker in Lambie. In case Morne Steyn gets a a case of the yips" I thought you meant for substitution which is more what happen last week or less.
Thompson yes different player is what I talk about. But Ireland strength about attack around the ruck close and all blacks need stronger clean out this week and quicker. Thompson can not help that way because he does not do this Kaino/Collins role of put the fear to the fetchers. The all blacks locks also come into question about hit the rucks fast hard and low.
Kaino destroy the wallabies open side and genia in the RWC SF and is why all blacks win.

That's exactly what we should be doing too. Digby and Vuna need to get involved as Genia's sure to be a marked man this week. If they don't come looking for work they'll die of boredom. A backline of Barnes, McCabe, and Horne.... the wingers have a statistically verifiable 0.0% chance of touching the ball otherwise.Taylorman wrote:Wales strengths must be in getting their wingers into the match

Well I was close, but not get the cigar! But I make predictions about how the game is going quite well. Except England v South Africa.
I am most disappoint by how much England learning and change the game.
Wales yes make some change and spot the inside pass and shut down genia but still lose some how. Ireland keep the ball and play more narrow and get much closer but still lose.
But England dissapoint me. They play the same way and try to win the muscle fight. Then ge so destroyed that by the time they try to change the plan they already too many points away.
