He is now the new Swansea manager.

What a great singing for Swansea. He plays the football that they have become renowned for and did good jobs with Mallorca in keeping them up, Denmark and taking them to a world cup and Getafe, taking them to a 1/4 final of the Uefa cup, losing to Bayern.

I think his name itself will hopefully convince Sigurdsson to sign now and not just Sigurdsson. He will be a draw for people Swansea will look to sign and with his knowledge of the Spanish league, he may be able to bring some decent players to the club.

I didn't think after Rodgers left that Swansea fans would be up beat about the new manager, especially after being linked to Graeme Jones, but with Laudrop they have got a very good manager who will be able to pass on his experience and knowledge to promising players such as Joe Allen. I'm exited as a Welsh fan for Swansea and I hope he can do a good job with them.

I hope Swansea absolutely stuff Liverpool next season. Huw Jenkins is a classy operator though.
