The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Sydney
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to Sydney, as it prepares to host the final test match of the Australia v Wales series.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Kiwi, Linebreaker, Biltong and Asbo above the bar.

Just paid with a Scottish £20 note at the Chinese Take Away and it's caused a massive stir. 'You live in Scotland' 'no' 'you been on holiday in Scotland' 'no'.

Evening all
Just back from watching the wife do her race for life so not seen the England game. heard reports that we were shocking first half better in the second and have it taped to watch later.
Hope everyone has had a good day despite the results not going right for fans of most NH sides (well done Scotland )

Very Penfro here
Just about to take the "auld fella" for a vodka or several, will take the edge of the pain. As you know I will criticise a referee when I feel he deserves it. Today I thought Chris Pollock was excellent continuing on from his outstanding performance in the 6 Nations
Such a shame we've got feicin Joubert again next week (we have haven't we ?)

Penfro
Fantastic day of rugby today, 2 heartbreaking finishes for Ireland and Wales but all the teams really fronted up today. Pints across the board .
Missed the Scotland game but sounds like Visser had a good debut?

I think this shows why it was a fantastic idea to bring Test Series back.
Now let's bring them up North.

It did get a bit stale over the last few years with the same teams always winning , but i am enjoying this season as there have been a lot of close games and shock results .
But i have to admit im loving the Summer tours , and im even doing well in SG pools

I kind of like that the summer tours tend to be one nation vs one nation 'series', but that the AIs are all the SH nations playing the different NH nations (with the prospect of grandslams/being denied grandslams!)

I'm just about to start drinking to build myself up for watching the match again later.
And agree with you on Pollock, though all in all he had a good game, any slightly iffy decisions he gave for both sides, so no complaints from moi
And yes, we do have dear Craig next week.

I'm watching it on repeat. Just on Tickle's try. That hit on Tomkins by Meli was a peach though. Proper bosh.
Hello all anyway. Just wanted to read the Welsh thread and thought I just as well pop in. Been lovely not coming on here though to be honest. Far more productive. Away to Tenerife on Tuesday on holiday, so that's something good.
In on a Saturday night. What has my life become . Gave it full hammer for my wife's surprise 30th party last night though.

Baros, Sczevchenko, Maelberg, there are some 'experienced' players rolling back the years in this competition. Baros has been immense.

For Flip sakes lightening almost struck twice there. A second last minute disappointment (or even a third) in a day would have been too much.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Sydney
Hi, how is everyone? Good to see ya there Rev.
I've completely missed all the sport after the Ireland match this morning. Too depressed to watch the Wales game. Just been so busy after that. Judo, then went to the MAC in Belfast for some stunning Sonic Art performances by some folks I know. Then out to my parents ahead of Fathers Day tomorrow where the TV has been commandeered.
So... I heard the results? Did the right teams win? Was the Wales finale as heartbreaking as the one we had against the All Blacks? What bout the football, whats the latest there?

I wish the Wales match had been on BBC so I could watch it on iPlayer. That said, I've got enough distractions! This semester is going to be a long one.
I could have watched it live, I was just so gutted at how close we came to New Zealand I had to go and do something not to do with rugby at all to get my mind off it. Plus I got like 5 hours sleep last night. I was watching the test this morning in bed in a complete haze
