The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Sydney
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to Sydney, as it prepares to host the final test match of the Australia v Wales series.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Kiwi, Linebreaker, Biltong and Asbo above the bar.

Furious as well. I'm thinking of suing Apple and the BBC for their Poopie weather forecasts. Killed silage tonight and no sooner as we went to fetch the Tedder but it started Blydi raining, the first time ever as far as I remember.
Earlier I went to catch a ram with a metal crook. The ram didn't want to be caught, I wasn't prepared to let go and the crook came off second best, to the extent that it's now a metal straight!
To be fair Glas, if I was a Welsh sheep I wouldn't fancy getting caught either.

Should've smilied that
Never mind. Looked like Andrews had a right tantrum from the highlights after his cards.
Fed up of this hype of Rooney. Guess Carroll makes way. England would fancy playing Spain or Italy. They're good enough to suffocate Spain under Hodgson.

Spain only looked like scoring once or twice tonight. It was enough.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Sydney
I spent 12 months working on a local dairy farm as a kid.
The holding barn that lead to the milking shed had a sink drain at the end to collect the slurry, and many was the morning I had to lie on my belly and immerse myself up to the armpit dragging half-digested grass out of the grating to free up a blockage.
Before breakfast.
But it was the silage that made me quit.
I don't know much about football, but I watched the England game against Sweden and although Sweden looked blisteringly average, England struggled to beat them. I doubt England will qualify, but if they do they would probably prefer Italy out of the two - I couldn't see them beating Spain.

Hi pub. Off to Exe again tomorrow, more blydi meetings!
Reading back, I have to go with Stag on the 'jumping' call. The player who decides he can't compete for the ball should totally back out of making contact.
Just drop to the floor quickly if in doubt. Apparently a necessary skill in football. Shouldn't be too difficult for rugby players.

Morning PJ. Yes, it's a beautifully stunning day here too.
I hear the kids have come home from school... their little voices carry so far. All laughs and giggles at the minute. The crying begins in about an hour... then their Mum calls them in for dinner.

Breaker, Asbo, .
Not a cloud in the sky so far. I miss Billy in the mornings, but you're right he's not going to be away much longer, hell of a man.
I lived in a house opposite a primary school playground once, I used to work from home on occasions during my "previous career" and in my office I could hear the noise of the kids playing coming down the chimney. It reminded me so much of my own school days that I used to think that it wouldn't matter where you were in the world, the sound of playing kids would be the same.
If only all things were so simple.
I'm off to work fellas, so in deference to our temporarily absent friend, have yourselves a day.

Morning As. Have a good day PJ
When I was living in Saigon next to a school I had the same situation.
The only difference was the lady with the megaphone. It went on and on and on... even on Saturdays. It was like she was reading them the riot act... no idea what she was saying though. Bizarre experience.

Morning slackers
Not a cloud in the sky above my bedroom. Granted I'm not seeing that much of the sky but the bit I can see is clear. How long before the rains??
Time to get up and head to the gym, have a little bit of a hangover but ill sweat it out of me.
First things first though, I need a poo

Bore da pawb / good morning all, I'll have a please.
I remember Brian Hibbard from a Welsh-language programme called Pam Fi, Duw? (Why Me, God?) - he played the main character's dad and he was hilarious in it.

Very sad about Tom Maynard. I'm hoping that there'll be some consolation in that it was an accident and not deliberate. Also, RIP Brian Hibbard. Ebbw boy, talented Welsh actor, probably known to everyone else as the singer from The Flying Pickets with the sideburns. I just thought of Dai when I heard about him (that's his character in this classic):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_r7QOisn8mc&feature=related
Ah, is that who Brian Hibbard is? The Flying Pickets version of Only You was my best mate's first dance at his wedding. He was brilliant in Twin Town too. I saw Ebbw Vale RFC mention his passing, but didn't click on when they mentioned Only You, I just thought it was a song he sang on the road with the Steelmen.
RIP Brian as well then.

Just like Shane Who? you have sealed Biggar's fate as a top class Welsh player.
He is just the right type of 10 to get them that little bit further.

Stag, Dan Biggar should be perfectly suited to the game Gatland wants us to play, but he didn't fare too well against the Barbarians (whether he was fully fit I don't know). My problem with him is that his first instinct is to kick. I don't like that in an outside half.
