Re: quigg munroe live
Not bad, I had it 3-3 after the 6th with Rhodes about to win the 7th
Rabchenko looked decent although his punches looked like they didn't have a lot of zip on them although they were heavy dulling shots. Took a lot of punches and was hurt once but came back well. Rhodes looks a lot slower than he did vs Alvarez and looked pretty tired after 6 deposit whom usually ring a good 12 rounder
He has had 50 fights and been in a couple of hard fights vs a lot bigger guys do I think he should call it a day

Munroe looks huge at least a weight division above, i think this could be a very painful night for Quigg.

Yea munroe looks huge, quigg is doing a good job defensively trying to pick his spots. I think he knows that munroe is tough enough and big enough to outbrawl him

Sky won't have the rematch. That's what they get for strangling the life out the sport.

No they won't or Ricky won't get a TV deal. No TV company will give him a deal if that fight is going to Sky.

Towers looks absolutely hopeless, even worse than Fury. Tony is sparking this chump out in 3.

Towers looks awful, lucky for it not to be stopped or given a standing 8 count in the 5th round

towers could have easily been stopped with a different ref.
he looks back in it now. but both price and fury would stop him.
no shame in it, he's a notice

Tony was let down badly by the ref. Tony Towers 2 in France with a competent ref would be a hot ticket seller. What a laughably bizarre fight.

Big, slow, awkward, clumsy and his chin looks a bit suspect. Technically he was inept and I feel like I'm being quite generous here.

round a piece, look like it was guna be a belter. munroe outworked him and marched forwards, second round quigg found a rhythm in the second with his counters. complete accident the head class, and the cut was almost across the enitre eyebrow

Re: quigg munroe live
Towers really did look horrific. Tony was embarassing although the fight should have stopped in the 5th. I can't believe the conditioning of some fighters, i know the heavyweight scene is fragile at the minute, but my old man who knows naff all about boxing was laughing and found it embarassing that these guys were earning a living.
I know it's early for Towers and Tony was a decent test, but no positives apart from the '0' being intact can be giving, but at 32, unbeaten with a decent stoppage record, a crack at the british title probably isnt too far away and at 6ft 8 he is pretty intimidating. Tony had only previously lost to Mike Perez and Helenius so wasn't exactly a nobody. Although, agree as to whats been said, the fight was shocking.

Re: quigg munroe live
Quigg/Munroe, big disappointment as it was looking good, pure accident shocking cut, looks like a plastic surgeon job.
Rabchenko looks pretty good not sure how far he will go but he looks to give most at least a good argument.
Towers......basic skills ie jab completely missing, fortunate not to be stopped, legs like Bambi at one stage when the ref was warning Toney for rabbit punches. One thing to remember despite Toney being exhausted through punching himself Towers did not stop him via punches he quit with an apparent arm injury. Early in his career but a mountain of work to do IMO.
When we are critising our refs bear in mind the two European officials on show last night, completely incompetant.

Towers was seriously bad. Everything in slow motion. Not close to being considered a prospect. What is his day job? He should consider doing that full time and forget about boxing. He has heart which is a bad attribute for someone as useless as he is.
Rhodes has come to the end of the Rhode (sorry). Rabchenko looks a very good fighter.
Shame about the Quigg/Munroe fight. Was shaping up to be a very good fight with a wonder clash of styles which would have made for a great fight. It would have been the gut check that would have made Quigg. Both of them beat Frampton imo. Shame that Kid G doesn't have a dig on him as he potentially is the best - in terms of skill and punch variety mind. No punch means he'd get run over. Munroe looked an absolutely beast. I'd be interested to know what he weighed on fight night.

I'd give Rab one more fight and throw him in with the Champions of the division. He has a very good amateur pedigree and imo beats them all except for Cotto/Floyd and Lara. I'd like to see him against someone with his strength as Rhodes physically was no match for him. He believes in his strength and punch resistance and has serious power also. I can imagine he will soon be joining the "who wants him" list. He is not a ticket seller and offers nothing. Shame that happens to many Eastern Euro fighters. He should leave Hatton and join up with the German bunch and fight in Germany as they will pack out an arena to watch 2 praying mantis' thinking about fighting.

Re: quigg munroe live
I dont think that rabchenko is good enough to win a world title. He looked pretty tough although was wobbled quite bad, has good fundamentals but a little slow. Has a good dig on him but except for the KO punch Rhodes wasn't really hurt much
I had it 57-57 going into the 7th and had rhodes winning the round before the KO. Given that Alvarez won almost every round and won them easily so I can't see how he beat Alvarez. Alvarez is lap you get and fought a slightly fresher version of Rhodes
Trout and Lara could outbox him easily enough and Alvarez and cotto are strong enough to stand with him and outbox him

Outside of Lara, Floyd and Cotto, the division is pretty weak. Haven't seen much of Trout to be honest so can't comment. He'll blow away Alvarez without much effort. I had Rhodes winning 2 rounds until the 7th. He did a better job on Rhodes that Alvarez did. I can't see GBP putting him with Saul to be fair. But I can see Lara fighting him.

I said the division is weak (outside of Lara, Floyd and Cotto). I don't even consider Alvarez a champion until he defends it against someone worthwhile. And credit for Ortiz stepping up. Your powers of understanding is seriously lacking. Everything to you is either black or white. No shades of gray. I don't rate Alvarez as highly as others = I reckon Alvarez is cr@p. Puerile nonsense once again Ghosty. I don't expect much from you anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised if Frank Maloney is chasing Hatton trying to get Brian Rose a shot at Rabchenko. A decent jab with a bit of snap and good movement will beat Rachenk and Rose has that.

He has the equaliser. Rose has poor movement. His movement is running after throwing a jab.
