First topic message reminder :

Yet another ex-Tigers player looks like joining the Bath retirement home for Tigers.

Yet I think he might still have a few miles in his legs.

Good signing if true, but we want/need a lot more.

Banahan at 12 and Hipkiss at 13? Poor Horacio will never see the ball unless the opposition kick it to him.

I thought that Bath would probably bring in young Heathcote at 12 so they could continue his exposure to top level rugby?

What's happened to Olly Barkley? Last I have heard of him is this:

Mauro Bergamasco and Andrea Masi have not been announced in the new Zebre squad for next season. I think this means they are on the transfer market. Could be good signings for Bath with Bergamasco offering some experience to the backrow and Masi able to play 11,13,14,15.

Good shout Sam. Surely they'd prefer to stay in Italy and would be snapped up by one of the other teams very quickly?

Why would they play for a non-Rabo Italian side? The money would be rubbish and I presume they decided not to transfer across to Zebre because they had better options on the table. I can't see either of them being ommitted by choice of the coaches as they are two of the national sides star players.

The one season at a failing Italian Super Club was probably a culture shock for them and there's better money to be made elsewhere and more chance of winning something. I think Bath would do well to add them to the team on two year contracts.

There's only one other Italian Rabo team and I believe Treviso have already announced all their summer signings. I thought you were inferring that they would play in the Italian Championship which is really about English division 1 level. That won't happen, not nearly enough money in that league to make it viable.

Just figured if they weren't at Zebre, they'd be at Treviso / Benetton. Apparently Bergamasco was on 250k when at Stade! Few years older now I guess, but still think both would be good signings.
