Yeah, think Reveillere's a class player, does well for Lyon and thought him and Clichy did well defensively.

Just having a nosey, some of them are pretty long, reminds me of some of the tactics we used to write for DC's league in the old days.

They got to a ridiculous length we had to impose a tactics limit Laugh

I tried to keep it short and I was really struggling with my main event. I had like three different ones before I settled!

I hope it reads ok. I enjoy doing it is the main thing, I don't care if I win, so long as its coherent.

Somewhere in Italy there is a forum like ours guys pretending to be pretend managers like us talking about the England V Italy game. Just like us scared of the opposition they'll be saying Gerrard can do this Rooney can do that, Terry the fearless defender, Hart the amazing keeper.

The Italian Marky, Marco will be confident but deep down frightened what England can do just like ours, the Italian version of Cherries posting misspelt Italian on how they have the best league, VivaGattusoMaldini fighting with the others telling them how great Milan are and how Italy will beat England. Their site owner "Eroe" not doing results cause his getting mithered by his moglie.

COME ON ENGLAND BELIEVE!!!!

He's the kind of player, who if he was English, would not be rated I think. So no, I don't think Liverpool recognised his quality.

I think Michael Carrick is every bit as good as him, but doesn't have the fancy name, if his name was Miguel Carrico or something he'd be highly rated and an England first teamer.

I was working and writing my WWA show...

I sort of agree about Carrick.

Do we wish Xabi Alonso was English? If so, is there really much difference between Alonso and Carrick in terms of ball retention? I would rate Alonso's passing game as > than Carrick's, but England would need Carrick if they're to play some football that is more entertaining in the World Cup qualifiers.

Nah it's alright, just thought there were others around and I'd killed off a discussion.

Yeah, if we played Carrick we could have a go at playing some entertaining football, but we need a couple of technical players. The likes of Gerrard and Rooney aren't particularly skilful.

Post by Hero Sun 24 Jun 2012, 11:00 am

Reasons!

AC ALSOAM v Real Ale

With a weak back four AC ALSOAM strikers are able to make the difference today. Real Ale attackers try their hardest to get back into the game but AC tactical gamble pays off with their full backs dropping off to make a 5-3-2 and are able to keep out Real Ale. Ba gets his goal early in the second half with a good knock down from Adebayor who out muscles a weak partnership between Dawson and Cahill
Marky got it right by having Badstuber and Boateng covering the full backs. Giroud struggled today against the 'badman' Badstuber as Alsoam defended well. Ale, however, tended to dominate the game with their midfield and Jovetic was given too much space for me. Ale went for zonal marking which was a good move, they kept a strong deep line and overall I don't think one team was much better than the other to deserve a win, well played to both managers.
What a horrible game to call (in a good way), and I'm not going to. Completely different set ups, different strengths and weaknesses. Can't see any defender man marking someone who is bigger than them (Howedes and Giroud). Would have played Jovetic out wide instead of Reus but that's just personal preference. Anyway, I think the game ends in a draw but what score I don't know.
For me the game was won by the wingers of RAS who gave the wingbacks a torrid time. A very close game though with two excellently balanced sides. Marky's forwards would have given Dawson a nightmare although Cahill would have stuck to Ba like glue.
both sides played well but i think ACAL had a better mid then Real so they controlled the ball and managed to steal the win with a late goal.

Borussia Munching v LSN

Lacking any real threat upfront LSN overcome Munching. Ramirez tireless effort in midfield is the difference today and tops of a great performance with a goal. Mandzukic is on form and is potent infront of goal. Munching still have their chances in a dominant midfield display straight after the second half and equalise but don’t have enough fire power up front to take the game by the scruff of the neck.
Borussia had plenty of men behind the ball and worked very hard today to keep the Nannies quiet. I would have liked to see a big man in the box when there's Navas and Di Miria on the wings. If the Nannies had gone a bit more aggressive and played with another striker then I feel that they could have broken through a stubborn defense.
Gregers "fake" striker in Kagawa doesn't suit being the main striker. I'd have played Di Maria up front with Kagawa on the wide left. However, I think the Borussia midfield is superior to the LSN's and because of that, there's little action and no goals.
The loss of Llorente really hurt Munchingballsack as they were constantly outmuscled in attacking areas. Also I feel Di Maria is more effective on the right hand side of midfield as he is more dangerous cutting in from the right. They have enough creative players in Scholes and Sneijder to create the chances but the loss of a clinical striker cost them. The Nannies were well prepared and got their tactics spot on by packing the centre of midfield up and restricting the influence of Munchingballsacks centre mids.
felt both sides equally balanced each other and created a few good chances as well. i think Di Maria should have played up front instead of Kagawa IMO for Bourrisa a draw was a good result for both today.

Swamp Donkeys v Cunning Canaries

with a great midfield display and with Parker putting his body on the line the Canaries are able to edge this close encounter. Bale puts in a performance down the left, Sagna does well for the majority of the day but gets caught out of position and bale makes him pay and puts a decent ball into the box for Carroll to head in.
I really like the way the Canaries side has changed. Carroll and Cisse is a good partnership upfront and got them goals. Throughout the side the quality is there, and they were well drilled in a simple 4-4-2. I think Fernando should have gone for a 4-3-3 with Natale in a wider position and Boateng central midfield. Overall with similar styles, they cancelled each other out.
Very interesting line ups here. I think both teams are very equally matched, perhaps AFC have a bit more cutting edge in midfield. I think Hamsik is sitting too deep though. In the end, AFC just shade this one for me. Olly really has got the hang of this tactics lark though, so well done to him.
Two evenly matched sides but I felt that restricting Bale and The Ox allowed the Swamp Donkeys to just nick it with Sagna being able to go forward a little more than usual as Bale was less of a threat. A freekick from Hamsik won it just into the second half after which Nando's team dropped back and saw the game out despite Olly going 3 up front.
Very good game from both sides , Swamp took the lead with Inler who played well in this game. Cunning equalised with Bale but in the end the former player of Cunning managed to strike a great shot into the goal stealing the win for SD.

FC Utd v Viva City

A good even game. Viva are very solid throughout with their one goal coming from a setpiece with Pirlo scoring a trademark Freekick. Whilst FCU are relentless at getting forward and using their pace to put Viva city defence under the cosh. Their goal comes with a swift break with Ganso linking up with Neymar who slots it past the keeper.
For me FC United should have done something about Pirlo who was able to dictate the game. Ganso and Neymar looked good going forward for United and they have improved defensively. But, they need a better midfielder alongside Fernandinho who will help out defensively. Viva City lacked a bit of cutting edge upfront, they really missed Huntelaar but they have plenty of flair and just shaded it.
Cherries team are too attacking and I can see them being picked off by the midfield duo of Garcia and Pirlo.
When FCU had the ball they look amazingly threatening especially with the front 3 however without the ball I think they could do with a true holding midfielder or maybe another player who will get back as both Ganso and Diego are incredibly attacking minded. This allowed Viva City to get the win as they could hold onto the ball much better. Good game between the sides.
Both sides have a very strong defence but Neyamr managed to snatch the game for Bourmouth during a corner.

I think you can come from that with your head high Olly, everyone this week was so close, no real stand out thumpings.

It's alright saying I can come with my head held high, but I still only have 0 points so far The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage page XIX - Page 14 3559488474

Das ist nicht so gut Sad

(I think I am going to have to punish my team this week. Extra laps in training and no sexy time from my physio)

Morning.

I think Liverpool did realise Alonsos quality but people seem to forget that he had that really bad season and Liverpool wanted Barry they didnt get him following season Alonso was awesome but hurt that Liverpool didn't trust him so he wanted to leave. An you got Liverpool fans saying oh he wasn't that good, he was to slow starting attacks slow passing only till he left they knew he was good for them.

I'm sorry but Ashley Young was awful all night. Passed it to the blue shirts all the time.
