The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Béal Feirste
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to Belfast - the rope-making and ship building capital of the world.
Now the Mouth of the Shoal awaits the safe arrival of one of it's long lost daughter's - Cariadwr - in her ongoing quest to be as close as possible to one of her favourite players... Tomás Ó Buaigh of Emyvale.... on her Birthday
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Nial O'Connor, Cari & Tommy Bowe, "Pickles" the wonder dog of '66, Wikus van de Merwe and Black Caviar above the bar.

Pretty good then, huh Biltong?
Munsty, I'm not an expert either but maybe check where the internet connection is pointing - is it the correct address?
Otherwise, I just switch everything off then back on again. Then check if the connection is correct.

G'day mods/admins. Once again, thank you for all your hard work keeping the site going and growing. Is there anything that can be done to clean up the standard of posting on the international section? Generally, it's the same cats every time that start or continue the petty bickering (we could all list the guilty few, i have no doubt). It's a real shame when even some of you guys admit to steering away from the int'l section 'cos you know what its going to be like!

Oh right.
Just glad your senior blokes don't play like that. I know how you must feel.
They played with that legendary Bok attitude which is top right hand draw stuff. You've got some seriously good talent there.
There's no way a future coach would want to change that style of play. That would be the last straw, no? Couldn't possibly happen.

If you're picking up wireless but the wireless isn't picking up the net then it could be a DNS issue. Reset the router (turn it off and turn it back on), if the problem persists then you should give the service provider a shout, it could be a problem at their end.

geez, LB, you know what our coaches are like, they are prone to mess it up so badly and before we know it a couple of these guys become "project players"

As,
Funny you mentioned it. I've been thinking the same for a while.
I've just spent some time looking back through the 23 pages of archives and you'd probably be nodding your head too.
Will discuss with the others mods & admin and see what we can do.
The problem is that you block someone's IP address, they just go get another one. They can wait as long as they like then sneak back in under another name in a few days/weeks time.
For some users (we suspect who they are) we've made the decision to 'manage' them as best as possible... however, this is a never-ending task and I can assure you we are all just as fed up. Maybe now is a good window to clean things up before the next event.
Hope this addresses your concerns a little. We are definitely working on it.

The Irish are mostly well behaved, don't have much of a problem with them. They tend to get stuck in so deep into introspection of their team that they don't even notice the wums.

Our main problem with him is he is incredibly one-eyed more so than Scarlets fans! He has a hatred for Sexton that I have never seen and a lot of Munster fans don't like Sexton. He aslo sticks up for Kidney time and time again. Yes he wasn't the soul problem on the tour but some of our problems are down to Kidney.

I thought it was called contradicting himself.
Na I've no problem with him to be honest. He's just annoying at times when he invades every thread screaming his hatred of Sexton no matter what the subject. I do think he's a little antagonistic though.

It's not that Sin E is antagonistic, or even that bad, it's that
a) the reactions he provokes in others quickly make threads into a sort of intellectual quicksand where nuanced discussion becomes lost in the overwhelming noise and b) he's very much incapable of changing his mind or perhaps even considering doing so?
Every Irish thread turns into the same thing, lots of people trying to convince him of something whilst he maintains the same positions regardless of how tenuous they may or may not be. Then there's the increasing frustration that no rational argument will ever prevail.
When you look at some of the discussions/arguments, they are ludicrous. They are on ludicrously trivial things. You can't just talk about rugby any more.

People who try to eat off the food society discards. It's a by-product of that wastefulness. If you look at how supermarkets operate, they generally throw away an unbelievable amount of perfectly edible food. So freegans would go dumpster diving and try and live off that wastage and share it out amongst their friends and other people within that 'community' if you like.
It's a sort of anti-consumerist movement. The idea being to avoid wastage and share resources for free that would otherwise be discarded. You can't sell weird looking fruit or bread thats nearly past its sell by date. But you can sure as hell eat it.
