The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Béal Feirste
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to Belfast - the rope-making and ship building capital of the world.
Now the Mouth of the Shoal awaits the safe arrival of one of it's long lost daughter's - Cariadwr - in her ongoing quest to be as close as possible to one of her favourite players... Tomás Ó Buaigh of Emyvale.... on her Birthday
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Nial O'Connor, Cari & Tommy Bowe, "Pickles" the wonder dog of '66, Wikus van de Merwe and Black Caviar above the bar.

Rava - 'Broadside' might be what you were thinking of (Adnams brewery), if it's beer.

James Stewart. George Harrison. Don't know. Think I am just lacking in imagination but in those far off days I was more concerned with the available talent than the 'castle in the air' improbabilities.

NOW we're talking. Her voice is gorgeous. As is she. Add her to the list.
We were chatting in work about stars in thier eyes (bring it back btw) and the question came up, if you could click your fingers and be able to to a stars in their eyes like performance properly who would in be?
Is a tough one because it doesn't have to be your favourite singer as such, for example if I could have anyone's singing voice I'd probably pick Luke Kelly but if I could BE anyone on stage it would be Freddie Mercury. The Serbian dude in work picked Prince, just like Nessa from Gavin and Stacy

Nice As... excellent 'thistle' pattern on the foam.
Good call on Diana Rigg. She fits her leather suit very well indeed.
Rocky Elsom may be heading back to Europe after a stint in Japan. He's been released by NSW and is struggling with his shoulder injury.
Stirling Mortlock may have also played his last game in Australia after buggering up his knee again at training with The Rebels.

Crazy flooding in Belfast yesterday. We had the mother of all thunderstorms.

We had some humpback whales in Circular Quay beside the Opera House (right in the heart of the city... it would be like whales swimming up to London Bridge or something) and off Neutral Bay today...
Someone must be feeding 'em! (....or they like the smell of chips and hamburgers.)
They usually only come in about 1km and hang around Manly near the harbour entrance but this time they've swum 6-7km 'upstream'.

Jez Notch that’s some flooding for a nights rain. I’m off to Cork tomorrow and it’s flooded down there too apparently. No access in or out of Clonakilty. The great white pudding shortage of 2012 has begun…

It was only a half hearted affair. A bit of pushing before fistiscuffs. They're both mates usually There's another kid, little er, who stirs up trouble then hides. Hopefully all be sorted today..

Morning all.
Bikkies, that was just 2 hours of rain. It was wild. MrP was out driving in it and saw several cars sunk or floating away, manhole covers forced up because of the water pressure etc. Glad he was driving the Oversized Dodgem!
And thank goodness it didn't start 2 hours earlier or the Garden Party would have turned into a Pool Party!

Thom, we're staying in C4 (Montenotte), which I think missed the worst of it. Painballing should be fun in the muck though!

Montenotte isn't C4. You've never been to Corosshaven/Kinsale in the summer is you thnk that. Montenote is on a hill so there should be no flooding there!

Noo! If the recession doesn't finish off Ireland that will
It's times like this I'm glad where I live is on the top floor of a building. Not much flooding around this area anyway, but down by the river

I have no idea where the paintballing is, we're gokarting too, don't know where that is. Also we're going to the dog track tomorrow but i assume there's only one of those in Cork even though we've two in Dublin (like airport terminals and major train stations )
