The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Béal Feirste
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to Belfast - the rope-making and ship building capital of the world.
Now the Mouth of the Shoal awaits the safe arrival of one of it's long lost daughter's - Cariadwr - in her ongoing quest to be as close as possible to one of her favourite players... Tomás Ó Buaigh of Emyvale.... on her Birthday
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Nial O'Connor, Cari & Tommy Bowe, "Pickles" the wonder dog of '66, Wikus van de Merwe and Black Caviar above the bar.

If it's paintballing and gokarting it's Watergrasshill. Nice spot, gokarting is very good there, paintballing is decent. The masks don't ofg up like in other spots. You going to the Curaheen dog track? I live about 5/10 minute drive away but I'm not around tomorrow. Dara O'Briain in the Marquee, although that area will have been badly hit by the floods. Cork technically have two airport terminals. They just don't use one of them

I've heard of a few managers or whatever putting their bankers on first and last peno, to ensure they start and end well. Of course, it isn't foolproof but I'd expect a lot of penalty shootouts chocked full of top players to go to the last penalty. I know Benitez used to do it with Hamann and Gerrard.
Great to be reminded of Joe Cocker WALHFMF (lazy) and The Wonder Years intro.
Gibbo, great that you helped your ma out like that. Such A Saint. Hope you had a great birthday Cari.
Up in Inverness now. Having a great time, but in a way I can't wait to get back to work and do some gym work again. After much deliberation, I'll be renewing my season ticket for the Dragons tomorrow.

Yes, it's terrible news. As is the damage to Douglas in general, the people of Cork are distraught at the loss of the Chipper! Could be closed for a week or so as will a few places around Douglas.
I wouldn't be surprised if events at the Marquee were called off tbh. It's right by the River. Thank feic there are no Championship games in Pairc Uí Chaoimh this weekend I'd say it would be unplayable.

£160 for the Hazell Terrace (until Saturday). Cheapest one you can get is £99 (till Sat) on the uncovered North Terrace. I'll lose games from February till the end of the season (due to next year's "holiday"), but I think I can still justify getting one. Apparantly sales are doing okay (not as much as the BOGOF Ospreys obviously), but considering our season we just had, it's good to see there's still people buying tickets.

We're all thugs Glas Just be happy you're not visiting Mountjoy. Never been to Kilmainham, the Cork Gaol tour is good. Pete, you should try fit in a tour of Croker. It's unreal.
Also writers, the latest one will bore you but if you wouldn't mind. Thanks.

Yeah, Croke Park is an amazing stadium- I've heard the museum there is good but I've never been. I've been to a few stadiums as a tourist, personally they hold little interest unless I can actually see a game when I'm there. Empty of people and life it's just a lot of cement and plastic no matter how spectacular.

You know from experience Hugh?
Notch, I agree although I did see a baseball team practicing in a stadium and that kind of bored the arse off of me too. Batting cages though, fierce banter. Wish they had some in Ireland.

I went to an empty Croke Park and can highly recommend it because of the history as well as the sporting history. But then I'd had precious little exposure to GAA, so I suppose to a native it may seem that they were not telling you stuff you didn't know.

Yeah, Croke Park is so much more than a stadium. That's why it's more interestign than some other tours. The fact you can try out hurling and football is good too. They do the same in the Munster one.

Croke Park is fantastic, I went there to see Ireland against Italy in 2008. I think that may have been the debut of Heaslip actually. Of all the stadiums I would love to go to, I really want to go to Thomond Park. The atmosphere looks fantastic, and I have heard great things about the place in general.

Evening. It's a tad too warm here atm.
Tourist attractions eh? Well tomorrow we will be visiting a famous hotel, a Prince and a Castle. Never mind that they are all pubs.

It's better for GAA games in my view, I was there for the HC semi, an Irish soccer team match and have been there for Cork hurling and football finals. Nothing comes close then AI day in Croker for atmosphere. Although the soccer match was great craic as they were playing Poland.

Really enjoyed Thomond Park. When Munster ran out, hearing the response of the crowd was one of those moments where the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Was strangely quiet during the game itself though with Ulster fans at least matching the home support. But it's a very special ground, definitely the finest provincial ground in Ireland.

I'm glad Miss Wozniacki lost in the tennis yesterday. I got to see her real close. All I can say is lucky Rory
