The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Béal Feirste
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to Belfast - the rope-making and ship building capital of the world.
Now the Mouth of the Shoal awaits the safe arrival of one of it's long lost daughter's - Cariadwr - in her ongoing quest to be as close as possible to one of her favourite players... Tomás Ó Buaigh of Emyvale.... on her Birthday
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Nial O'Connor, Cari & Tommy Bowe, "Pickles" the wonder dog of '66, Wikus van de Merwe and Black Caviar above the bar.

A Game of Thrones, I was really enjoying season 2 until I moved home. Don't have sky here and haven't managed to find the time to catch up with the episodes online, haven't watched it now since episode 6. Absolutely love it though!

ha, quite right.
Some more rugby obsessed than I would perhaps look at it as A Sign for the upcoming season

Have amended to what I think will actually happen but I like your way of thinking (IF the Scarlets can't do all that well I'd like for you guys too )
It is Nicholas Roche's 28th birthday today.Really hope he can manage a stage win or something at this years TdF.

Roche seems to be a very solid cycler. Don't know if he will reach his Dad's standards but sure who knows. He could get a top 15 or so finish overall I'd say.

Definitely I would say, he's got loads of talent, but as always with the TdF, he'll need a fair bit of luck too.

What! No wonder there's a litigation culture. Blydi lawyers.
Pot on stove gets hot shocker! Always pick up cooked pots with oven gloves or at least dry tea towels. The ONLY exception is if you have induction jobs and then err on the side of caution.
Sorry about your hand though Hugh. You have to find someone else to...

Being a very keen cook I can assure you that burns are a weekly occurance and my scarred hands tell the tale. I don't think there is anything you could complain about to a cooking pot manufacturer really. What I have an issue with here is the fact that Hughie was boiling his pasta for 10 minutes, I mean come on Hughie haven't you ever heard the phrase al dente?

There's this horrible workplace safety ad on here... it shows a young guy trying to carry this huge pot of boiling water across a restaurant kitchen... and he sort of falls backwards. You can guess the 'special effects' are too real... and he was wearing gloves.
You can never be too safe.

In other news Conanch have signed a fellow called Poolman. A South African fellow from the Stomrers. Someone could make a joke out of his name but I'm not going to bother.
The commentators in the Stormers v Lions game on Sat mentioned that guy who signed for Connacht. Being used to Newlands, we reckoned he was in for a culture shock at The Sportsground. Aren't the changing rooms in a neighbouring pub?

It's one for the geeky/nerdy kind. I loved it though, the graphic novels themselves are decent too.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Béal Feirste
Hello Zander &
Ah I'm just offloading. I've had a stressful week or so at work. I almost burst into tears this morning, but managed not to. I work with some lovely people though, so they wouldn't have minded if I had. Also got a right soaking last night on the way home. I looked like I'd jumped in the river and swam home rather than walked from the bus stop, so that didn't make the day any better. I think I need to get away but I can't at the moment. I have a long weekend next week anyway, so that'll help a bit.
I think I just need a and a too...but instead I'll have to make do with going to bed witha book.
Hope Risca and Rava enjoyed their respective trips away, and everyone else is all right. I haven't really had much chance to read back to be honest.
Nite all.

Awful news about the two tornados ditching in the Moray Firth earlier. Hope there's a happy endomg there. Chances are I know most if not all of the four crew too, from my time there.
Evening all by the way. Pretty pre occupied by that. Did a lovely five mile run in the rain earlier though. Very refreshing.
Lovely trip Cari ta. Hope work goes better tomorrow

Evening pub
Cari there's a room for you up here if you want a couple of days away at any point.
Another Victoria sandwich cake in the oven, need to perfect it. This one will face the ultimate test though... the 'Mum's approval' test! She's not the most effusive person on the planet though so if I can get a 'it's very nice' I know I've cracked it! Fortunately my sis ain't quite so reticent and will tell me exactly what she thinks.
Rev, I saw that earlier. Fingers and everything crossed for all those affected.

Rev - hope there's a happy ending with that too, horrible to read about it.
Swanny - good luck with the cake!
Cari - hope the rest of the week goes very quick for you.
Ah man, I have just finished out forms to the tenancy deposit scheme, my agency are being a right arse over giving me my deposit back (or that they're happy to give it back but are wanting to deduct a ridiculous amount from it!) have had no luck sorting it with them so I've had to take it further. Blydi well hate filling out all these forms though.

Well seeing as no one is around to watch it anyway , I'm going to post a video of the Us Naval Academy:
I wouldn't watch the whole video if you're not interested but the music used is great and it shows the grit and detemination of some of these young guys. Not to mention their love and dedication to their country.
