POVETKIN VS RAHMAN - OFF
http://news.boxrec.com/news/2012/povetkin-v-rahman-pulled-haye-chisora-bill
Does anyone else think this fight should be scrapped to free to air TV such as Channel 5 or ITV??
No reason for it to be on Sky let alone BoxNation.
Its not a world title fight, its a couple of British Bums (although very exciting ones) that have gift of the gab but thats it.
Haye was class at Crusierweight but just IS not a Heavyweight. Beating up Monte Barret, John Ruiz and Nikoli Valuev is an injustice.
Chisora has battled with Vitali, lost to Helenius (i think Del Boy won) and lost to that gypsy from Ireland or wherever he is from....you know...the big stupid guy who uppercuts himself.
Should be a decent fist fight with limited skill involved.
The undercard SHOULD HAVE been - Price vs Fury, Mitchell vs Burns, Rahman vs Povetkin and Haye vs Chisora.
Not anymore..................Haye vs Chisora.

Warren is blowing this undercard. Who care about Rahman v Povetkin anyway, but where are the other fights?

The whole event is aimed at football fans / Sun readers, it is not intended for boxing fans.
If there is just the one fight they will be quite happy, why should FW waste time organising an undercard?

Well, if he expects anything more that 200k one month subscribers to Boxnation he better put at least one decent fight on the undercard. I know Warren is treating this as his pension bout though, he really is just looking to recoup some cash IMO. f Chis is making 1.5, Warren must be looking to make 5-10 mill from this

isn't it 1.5 mill?
I may be imagining this but thought he was guarenteed that & Haye 3.5 plus some of the Boxnation buys/ppv whatever it is

Wasn't particularly anti the fight before but hearing the fight might make Chis £1.5m makes me feel sick now....

Re: POVETKIN VS RAHMAN - OFF
The fact Povetkin was going to fight Rahman in the first place is just embarrassing.
The whole card is a farce really, I would watch Haye/chisora as should be a fun fight but it means nothing and the joke unercard of Matthew Hall ect for a premium subscription show is madness (and i already have boxnation!)

Is the Povetkin Rahman fight still going to be aired on boxnation? They are still reporting it, after all they show Sauerland fights.
The fight isn't cancelled its just been moved to Germany due to scheduling issues...

Re: POVETKIN VS RAHMAN - OFF
when this show was annonced the undercard was amazing, but with mitchell, frankie gavin, povetkin all pulling out its got way downhill.
basically anyone who isnt making a Poopie load of money out of this doesnt want to know.

since the whole thing was masterminded by warren, how was it ever going to be on anything other than box nation.

Burns refused to box on the card because of the BBBoC and Frankie Gavin did the same. Groves pulled out of a World Title fight 6 weeks ago because of a back injury.

However in slightly more positive news for this event it appears Danny Dyer is well up for it.

You have got to love Danny! Although that is quite mild compared to the usual 'light on his trotters', 'gut you like a fish' and 'stay off my manor' guff that he usually comes out with.
Haye, Chisora and Dyer are perfect bedfellows. I can't think of a more terrific triumvirate of tossers.

You say that Alma, but as soon as Haye detonates his famous Hayemaker on Dereck's chin, blah blah blah etc....
As a matter of interest, when was the last time David Haye detonated his trademark Hayemaker?

Chisora late upset could be an interesting shout......depends how aloof Haye remains.

I would, but I probably wouldn't understand the answer.
Four years ago then. And it was Enzo. Hmmm.

And it was at cruiser. Haye's Shaversesque power at heavy is a myth almost as great as him being Mr Excitement at the weight.

your forgetting the snot inducing knock out of the great audley harrison, he stoped ruiz and barrett (but then again the even the ropes were good enough to get him on the deck!!)
think his last great stoppage was mormeck

Re: POVETKIN VS RAHMAN - OFF
Dropping Ruiz whilst moving backwards was the best punch and most impressive thing he's done at HW. Don't buy into all the hype but I was genuinely impressed by that.

Re: POVETKIN VS RAHMAN - OFF
Wobbling the giant that is Valuev was a pretty spectacular sight..... to bad he was garbage to begin with and old and nothing even happened in the fight.
Dont buy all the hype of Hayes power but he is definately a solid HW puncher.
