Wimbledon Day 3, or 2b
First topic message reminder :
(or not 2b, I guess that is the question....)
Well there (again) matches held over so it is in a way. At least it's not Day 1c.
Anyway HRH TMF is in the Palace, playing against the nefarious Fognini so all is right with the World. Should be fun, I hope.
Djokovic may have some early pressure from Harrison but we're still firmly in pushover round territory which lasts until the quarters at earliest these days, regrettably).
Some women are also playing, I think.

He done a Head advert mocking Maria. Had a wig on and was taking the pee. I would like to see Maria mimic his time delaying serve

That FH from Harrison shot of the year!! How on earth did he make that!

Ya think so Legend? Ferrero is still a plenty better player than Harrison is, and he was given a nasty beating. Harrison has done nothing of note in the slams, hasn't even got to a 3rd round yet.

I like Harrison, but he needs to improve his movement a fraction and develop a killer shot

Janowicz is giving the ball a pounding on the serve, can see him getting far on this surface. Much more suited to the grass than Berdych was anyway.

Fantastic reflexes for a tall man, he just broke Gulbis and serves for the match.

JM I think if Harrison can remain focused and execute his returns better he could run Djokovic close in 2 sets. Only won 3 points won against the Djokovic serve

Well done to Jerzy, has just incorporated a few thousand fans after downing the Berdych slayer.

Harrison just not doing anything on the Djokovic 2nd serve. Hit through the effin ball lad!

Re: Wimbledon Day 3, or 2b
Fair play to Harrison, because Nole has hardly broken sweat and is playing awesome stuff.
Nothing flashy, none of the good looking point construction we've seen from the No.3 and 4 seeds - just amazingly consistent good shot making
Harrison, is a certainty for the Top 10, though

Some sloppy play from Djokovic and a beauty of a BH from Harrison and he has 3 BPs

Same result. Djokovic just ups the anti and snatches the chance away.

Re: Wimbledon Day 3, or 2b
Sometimes Djokovic makes players look a bit better than they really are. Someone like Nadal would barely lose a point on serve to Harrison.

Harrison just not taking these chances. Something tells me he'll live to regret it.

And gone just as quickly. 7 BPs in this game. Got to take those chances I'm afraid.

Re: Wimbledon Day 3, or 2b
The grass looks to be playing quick(er) this year, but then it may slow down abit into 2nd week.
Harrison shows enough to suggest he could be a staple top20 player not too long into the future.

Re: Wimbledon Day 3, or 2b
I think Ryan Harrison's problem is that he can raise his game against the big players (seen him impress now against Murray and Djokovic at slams) but seems to lose against too many players he should be beating. If he can sort that out then he could break into the top 20 pretty easily.

Djokovic game isnt very effective for indoor grass. He edged Rochus in 5 tight sets in 2010 on the CC when the roof was closed.

Ryan could of taken him to 4 sets at least. He needs some brain, apart from muscles.

Abit harsh, the lad is steadily progressing, played well and pushed hard. He's only just turned 20 and has a good future ahead of him...it was more inexperience at important moments than much else. Djokovic is in good form though and I know how much that worries/irks you Jahu, lol

Re: Wimbledon Day 3, or 2b
I agree with the commentators this evening, very high quality match between djokovic and Harrison. I think Harrison can hold his head high after that performance. He now knows what it will take to get near top 10. That forehand winner he hit cross court was one of the best shots I have ever seen.

Honestly I like Harrison, hope he does not become another Roddick, all power and no success at the GS.
