Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage page XX
One of Lewandowski, De Jong or Milito could be available, but would be looking for a CB who would go into my starting XI in the deal
In case anyone misses this on the old page.
Twist - I couldn't really have not put the £1m in, so I view this as £1m won!!!

That is why I put the list on the Transfer Confirmation page Soddy. Only 3 other pages apart from the lists to check and you would only have to do ctrl+F 3 times

Riccardo Montolivo, whose mum is German will have the Italian flag on one shinpad and Germany on the other for semi final as he has throughout Euro 2012.

Traitor!
I'm backing Italy all the way now. I reckon they can do it.

If Italy win the whole thing the dissapointment of England losing to the champions will reduce a little knowing that we lost to the best team.

Could I get peoples opinions on:
Mackail-Smith
Vaz-Te
Jay Rodriguez?

Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage page XX
I will be disappointed with England whoever wins, just because we played appallingly badly.
Seems like there is a shift towards viewing Spain as boring now, as opposed to having a beautiful style. I'll be honest and say I find myself tiring of them just having the ball all game and killing matches stone dead when they score.

I can tell you on Vaz Te but less on the others
Vaz Te is a good player but I'm not 100% convinced he'll be doing in it the Prem. I'd love to be proven wrong and he has the ability but sometimes I think he makes poor choices and particularly sometimes he snatches at his chances.

He's the type of player that could be very tricky to handle on his day but you never know when he might have a day... Still, he fits our system so he'll probably be able to impress enough.

I'd hope so sod, given its his second crack at the prem.
Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage page XX
I'll still be dissapointed but not to the extent if we lost to a team who get battered in the next round. This is the first tournament where I wasn't shocked that we got knocked out at the quarters I think this is our level and anything more is a bonus.
Agree with you Spain and Barca are both tiring to watch with Barca you get Messi going on the run which keeps you interested but the passing is boring to watch at times. I've always said the Arsenal team of a few years ago played the best Football.

Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage page XX
I'd prefer to watch Swansea than Spain, think they play much better football. If Spain continue to not play a striker I will continue not to care
Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage page XX
Brought this up over in FEL but do people think a league based on legends would work?
Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage page XX
No Gregers.
Did you know Dolphins Cuddle in a bad way 14 humans a year, I thought they were supposed to be nice, I always wanted to pet one. Not anymore.

Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage page XX
I reckon it could though it'd be very difficult to judge especially with ages of people and how the game has increased in speed and athleticism.
Would Puskas and di Stefano for example be thought of as highly as the likes of Falcao or Rooney.

Hero, I was thinking more that anyone playing in a big league today (MLS, China etc aren't big leagues) would be illegible for the league.

I remember when ESPN ran a headline "Chink in the Armour" referring directly to Taiwanese-American player Jeremy Lin when the New York Knicks lost a game.

It would be possible but you'd probably need to give set teams to people to start with and then have quite a rigid TP system.

Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage page XX
I think a legends league should begin with a draft rather than with money.
If there's 8/12/16 participants, put them in a random order like we did in the WWA last season for allocating wrestlers.
Number 1: Cherriesfan picks Pele
Number 2: Gregers picks Diego Maradona
Number 3: Marky picks Franz Beckenbauer
etc etc
Then reverse the order for the second pick.

Like an NFL draft
(well not really as the order would be reversed the next time)

Even still I imagine a Zidane would be thought much higher than a Puskas and it's hard to say either way due to how the game has evolved.

Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage page XX
True Hero, was just a thought I had. Marky a draft could definitely work. At least for the first 11 players for each side
Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage page XX
Or maybe do it via position, first draft is for Goalies. Next draft round is left backs etc?
Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage page XX
I think that people's ratings would vary so drastically, coming from different eras etc. it'd be difficult.
If you did best of the decade that would work better IMO.
