Quinn Roux to Leinster

Leinster are set to announce the signing of Stormers lock Quinn Roux, according to reports in South Africa.
The 21-year-old played a key role in helping Western Province to the Vodacom Cup title.
That form saw the emerging star make his Super Rugby debut in the 19-14 win over the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld.
However he is now set to make the switch to the Heineken Cup champions, with Leinster having been keen to bolster their second row options following the departure of Brad Thorn.
Leinster have already recruited Tom Denton from Leeds, with the likes of Leo Cullen and Devin Toner already established at the club and Mark Flanagan coming through the ranks.
Roux would be the latest rising star to quit South Africa for Ireland, with Bulls back-rower CJ Stander having opted to join up with Munster

All the guys who were in NZ are out. IRFU player-managment. This will be an even harder test this year, as there were 14 of them. And 4 injured besides them.
Nae bodder. Its only Scarlets.

If there was one Irish province that could cope, it's Leinster. Plus long term, it will only benefit Leinster more by getting these guys experience at this level.

Thats exactly what Im hoping for Munsty. I think I love seeing our Academy boys step up, more than watching our 1st-teamers sometimes. Its just a different buzz of expectancy.

If he survives Tallaght, he can make it in the Heino.

Has anyone seen sight or sound of this lad yet at any of the games or at the open training sessions?
If he is about and fit etc well Denton, Toner and Cullen all seem to be ahead of him in the pecking order based on Pre-Season games.

He's probably been given a break and then maybe a mini pre season and a bit of dietary advice etc. You would be surprised how bad some of the Saffer teams are on nutrition and stuff like that.
He wouldn't need warm up games anyway as he has been playing S15 (admittedly as a sub mainly)
Him and Browne are the only natural tight head scrumagers in the squad, although Toner packs down there too when paired with Cullen or Denton.

Re: Quinn Roux to Leinster
Didn't see much of Bent tbh I only caught the 2nd half and took a while for me to work out he was on the pitch. Looks heavy if I am being totally honest. Not the good kinda heavy. Still starting in a team that is doing very well in the ITM.
Goodman looked class. The score ended something like 50-40 or something but even what I saw he looked like a go to guy. Making half breaks, full breaks, solid defence, really good passing while running full tilt and making distance passes too

Re: Quinn Roux to Leinster
No worries buddy, have to re-iterate that I was really, really impressed with Goodman, he was playing against a team that may be lower in standard than what we play against definitely in Europe and possibly in the league, hard to make a comparison like that though
