But he does have to overcome the spectre of the popular Harry Redknapp and his own past at Chelsea. A few poor results or poor performances and people will start asking serious questions. I think it's a risky appointment, both Blanc and Deschamps would have been better choices.

Deschamps is set to become the French manager and they contacted Blanc but nothing came of it, you would be surprised at how many Spurs fans were happy 'Arry is gone as they fell, yes he got us playing and winning well but also he had done all he could for us and some of his tactics throughout the season where bad, we all saw our collapse after Xmas and Harry's head being on the English job that he would have jumped at if he was asked so I think a combination of all those things turned a lot of people off him

I meant Redknapp being popular with the players rather than the fans.

Really happy with this appointment. AVB is fully fluent in English so it's not like we are appointing a foreign manager for the sake of it a la Ramos and Gros. I'm not expecting amazing miracles in the first season but a solid realistic top 6 finish but think he will keep the Spurs boat a lot more stable than many would have. Think we might have a chance of keeping some of the big names now and attracting a few more. Bale signed a new contract the other day too woohoo.

I do wonder how popular he was with the players. I think even this was wearing off towards the end. Look at what Corluka, Pienaar and some of the other fringe players. Bet Modric felt a bit annoyed as well by Redknapps behaviour.

I wonder how many if ant Chelsea players that were on AVB's side would join Spurs?

Would Chelsea let them go to a club that will be challenging for a top 4/6 place in the league?

I think he'll be raring to go and to be a success after what happened at Chelsea, I heard the players new since the weekend that he was getting the job so there hasn't been any Transfer requests flying in so thats always a good thing

Finished school for the summer, well forever, Uni in September (hopefully), but have no money so need to work as much as I can to get enough money to actually do stuff.

I don't get double pay for night shifts, I do get extra money, but not a lot more. Also, it's on a Wednesday night and University is finished for the summer so won't even get the drunks to make it more interesting.

A fleeting visit, just read the first part of the recent show that was put up (chaos) and have to say well done to the guys who did it. Im just getting into the E-Fed concept and understanding how it works with all the promo's also.

It was also nice to get a sweet victory on my PPV debut and looks to set up something feud wise with white.

Night shift at McDonalds?

Unfair - mine closes at 10. I know because I tried to go there after football last night, to pick up a Strawbs Milkshake, at 10:30, and it was closed.

I love McDonalds, not had one in ages.

Mine is 24 hours all the time. Never shuts. This city also has three Greggs which are about 60 seconds apart away on foot, no joke. Not sure what that says about it...

And no, is isn't anything like the song.

I've only done Friday or Saturday night shifts before and they're usually quite interesting with all the drunks coming in at 1 o'clock, but I can imagine I'll be bored quite a bit tomorrow night.
