Foreign Transfers - Page 13 Empty Foreign Transfers

Post by The Special Juan Thu 28 Jun 2012, 6:51 pm

First topic message reminder :

Bid for your foreign transfers here. To start the season, there will be two bids allowed per day, this will then decrease to one per day when the season starts. The Special Juan will then answer all of the bids received in the evening. They do not carry over, so you cannot bid nothing all week and then bid five times on the Friday.

The first bidder gets the first chance to sign the player, and if this offer is accepted then they will sign for the original club, regardless of the subsequent offers. But, if the original bidder has not bid enough or the transfer is unrealistic then subsequent bids will then be considered. Any following bids must be at least of equal value to the first bidder.

Please make sure all transfers are confirmed on the foreign transfer confirmation page.

Today's foreign bid answers:

M'Bia - Yes
Lugano - Yes
Huntelaar - No. Tottenham recently had a bid rejected for Huntelaar, he would not leave Germany at the moment.
Oscar - No. He moved IRL for £25 million and that is the fee that would be required.
Granero - Yes (West Brom's bid)
Riether - Yes

Jonathan De Guzman to Swansea 2.5m

Vilarreal have been relegated and as they've already loaned him out, and with shaky financials we'll buy out his contract

What? why wouldn't Huntelaar leave Germany for a club like Liverpool?. I know they have European football, but he has always expressed his wish to play in the PL. Also, there has been no bid made by Spurs for Huntelaar so unless you have evidence which i'll happily accept I have seen no news of a bid for Huntelaar from Spurs. Also, the only link I found for a Spurs bid for Huntelaar was a rumour in May and the fee was quoted at just £15m, when i'm offering 17m? Crazy.

Gone back as far as the start of August, I've seen no bid for Huntelaar. The only Spurs bids I have seen for big name strikers were Llorente for 20 odd million and Falcao for 30m, perhaps that's the players you are confusing Huntelaar with.

I offered 16m for him as Huntelaar has a release clause in his contract at 15.6m so it would trigger it. It was decided though that the player would refuse a move at the moment in time due to Spurs not being successful enough and he wanted to be at a club with a chance of winning something (because obviously Schalke will break the monoply of Dortmund and Munich this season).

Not at all, didn't take me then ages to end up with Damiao and then Llorente after that. Nor the time where I paid the actual fee for Cazorla and got rebuffed, still not bitter over that at all, no siree.

with the injure to Kaboul IRL we're looking for good quality replacement. we believe Zapata is this man! we promise first team football to such a talent. With Villarreal recently relegated he'd be looking to leave to further his career.

Marcel Schmelzer
13.5m
Dortmund to Liverpool

Ben quoted to cost just 6.6m but he's worth far more than that imo. Has been linked with the PL before with Utd, think 13.5m is a fair offer for man Dortmund claimed just last year would cost 9m.

Pedro Leon
Getafe to West Ham
£2m

Only made 13 appearances last season and is struggling for games. He joined Getafe on a free transfer and for the club to make a profit on him would be fantastic business from their perspective, and it also reduces their wage bill.

Jesus Navas
£11.8m
Sevilla to Tottenham

Reason: this is the fee quoted to have been rumoured by Arsenal in the past few days prior to the window closing when there were concerns over Walcott leaving.
Navas has in the past been reluctant to leave due to his homesickness but this report suggests that is in the past:

In recent years his condition has improved however and he has been a consistent presence in the Spanish team for the last 2 years travelling all over the world and participating at this summer’s Euro’s without any problems, spending an entire month away from his beloved hometown.

He has achieved amazing feats already to overcome his mental frailties and he is considering a move abroad as a final achievement on his progression from the homesickness that debilitated him for much of his younger career.

De Guzman - Yes
Zapata - No. Moved for 4m IRL and that would have to be matched.
Schmelzer - No. 15m would be required
Pedro Leon - No. Don't think he himself would want to leave Getafe.
Tettey - Yes
Navas - No, same as when Pull bid, he ain't leaving Spain.

We now have the funds to bring in Lucas to our midfield. He will add much needed quality to our midfield, and could take us to the next level.

Marc Barta
Barcelona to Spurs
£3.75m

Barta is down the list at Barcelona and now in the last year of his contract. He's been linked previously with Spurs and would immediately get first team action that he craves in the cup. He'd be made welcome by our other young Spanish contingent of Suarez, Llorente and Jese.

Martín Demichelis
3 Million Pounds
Malaga To Southampton

Reason: It's public knowledge that Malaga are now broke after their chairman stopped throwing money into the club. They have had a lot of their better players leave in what is a busy summer with only a few remaining. Now being valued at around 3 Million, I'm sure Malaga would usher Martin out of the club if an offer came along as it would be a big relief on the wage bill. He would be welcomed with open arms helping and working alongside younger defenders in a 1st team position.

* You also missed out my last bid from two days ago *

We have decided it's a no Enigma. While Malaga would probably accept the bid, we dont think Demichelis would give up probably his last shot at CL football to join Southampton

Phillip Wollscheid
6.6m
Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool

Highly rated cb, quoted to be worth 6.6m. Moved for just 4.4m from Nureburg to Bayer, Bayer would be making a profit and could easily bring in another cb for that sort of money.
