Who will win Wimbledon 2012?
Who Will Win Wimbledon?
A moment of history occurred with Nadal's exit. After making 5 straight finals (when he's entered Wimbledon) from 2006 to 2011, Nadal's shock exit in R2 is most undoubtedly one of the biggest shocks for a top seed in the first week of any slam in a very long time. This also comes after reaching 5 grand slam finals in a row from RG 2011 until RG this year. What will be the impact? Will there be one? Let's first look at the immediate impact @ Wimbledon.
Nadal's departure really opens up the bottom half of the draw and many posters on here as well as many media pundits and tennis commentators did tip Nadal to win. Now's he out, who will win? Clearly it can't be Nadal any longer as he is no longer in it. I've included some other additional options which normally wouldn't be included due to Nadal's departure. I've opted to give two additional choices from the bottom half due to it's unpredictable nature.
You can also cancel your vote and change it as the tournament progresses since it may be hard to forecast who might come up from the bottom half.

You would have to have Novak as the big favourite now, though Federer's chances have gone up a bit and Murray's have gone up a lot.
Early days, but already this is a fantastic Wimbledon full of good stories. Some long awaited (albeit relative) success for British players, a few 5 set belters and one of the biggest shocks in Wimbledon history.
I'm so glad I booked these 2 weeks off work!
