Wimbledon Day 10
First topic message reminder :
Now it's really business time.
The matches have been previewed a done the order of play is out. Federer will be relieved to be on Centre and hoping for rain and a covered court. Murray too, as both stand to benefit if they win and their opponents have to play Thursday. I have no idea what the forecast is though.

Nice easy service games for Murray at this point, but can he get at Ferrer's serve?

I imagine that if Andy loses this he'll say he needs to work on his fitness.

Well, that was close but Muzza held his nerve.
Is anyone finding that bald dude in his box a bit disconcerting?

I don't like the way his box react generally, except Lendl who remains passive.
An ovation when he holds his serve, gets embarrassing

Hadn't thought of it like that - very true.

Good hold from Ferrer. Now Ferrer's turn to break?

Chance missed.
Maybe this has still got another twist to come.

I still think this match can go either way. I mean everyone knew Ferrer was never going to capitulate there...

Why is Murrays forehand worse than 2008/2009?

I hope you're joking, or wumming to be more precise.
He wins more points off the forehand than the backhand nowadays!

Is anyone listening to the awful biased BBC commentary who are showing Ferrer no respect at all? Mcenroe has had to correct them a number of times that Ferrer has been in the match and should have been 2-0 up. The BBC just keep twaddling on about how Murray could already have won....

With what I have seen and heard on the radio, Murray a very very lucky boy. It is a big plus if anyone can make a GS semi with a serve % below 60.

Are we gonna have the old 'Murray's gone down the wrong route' argument now? Or are we gonna just wait the rain out and get back to the match?

It drives me up the wall - Sue Barker is soooo annoying.
Have you heard these clowns calling for Murray to use the drop shot more often

In that second set, I thought Murray was very lucky.
He could and perhaps should have lost it.
In the third and fourth he's been the better player, but he was hanging by a thread in that second set.

It's mainly Castle who comes out with the gushing Murray nonsense complete with factual inaccuracies...
Henman and Mac have been telling it as it is. i.e Murray lucky to go 1-1 but played a good third...

Wonder who the break benefitted. Quite glad that Murray hasn't got to serve first at the resumption.

Not sure who to believe in regards to the Court 1 roof issue. I read online it was being considered, but it wouldn't be up before 2020 and then Castle has claimed it could be up by 2016???

Based on history of truth telling between the two, I'd go with the internet

I'm a bit worried here...
Murray is renowned for his slow starts. The delay won't have helped in that regard.

Someone was saying the shape of the court made it much more difficult to do than CC. You need rain delays in Wimby though - it's part of the drama!

Apparently when Court 1 was built, the design was to encompass a roof?
They should design a roof with a bogseat desgin

Re: Wimbledon Day 10
I take my hat off to Ferrer. I feel for him I really do. The 4 set score does not reflect how well he has played in this match and the sheer effort he put in.
He let Murray off the hook. Yes Murray played well in the 3rd granted and I give him that, but Ferrer will rueing those missed chances in the 2nd set TB and not taking the BP's in the 3rd.
Very well played Ferrer
