Cool, Bath get to play Tigers during the AI's oh and Quins... Oooooooh and Saints during the 6N, luvvly-jubbly.
Makes you proud to have no players that England want.

On first sight - given their squad depth, the Saints look to be worst off. Along with the Quins.

So we (Glaws), have quins home and away, saints away and sarries away. Might as well hand it over, gents.

Well after last season, I still wont be counting any chickens for those games any more than the visit to WR.

Jeez, listen to the shedder - Moriarty joins the club and there's already plans for global domination and a New World Order...
I'm going to call Holmes.

We've always been plotting global domination, it just happens all our away games are at the Reichenbach Falls!

Tad-dah!
Looks like you might get first blood again next season, mind you, it depends on whether Lancaster took a shine to a couple of your boys over the summer (in a purely professional way of course), it may also depend on how many days a week Tindall turns up sober.
He was always a paragon of virtue down the road.
Your days of West Country superiority were very brief HK, I hope you kept the cuttings.

Next season will be Moriarty vs Blofeld - so in the battle for domination I think you'll end up with another false dawn and stroking a mangy old cat! Remember I'm right 90% of the time

You've had a good run, 9 out of 10 isn't bad, but Blofeld's been in charge 12 months now - this time he's expecting you...

Oz is being sarcastic Quarry. 'dinosaur' and a 'curmudgeon' by all accounts as I believe that the league (the 'Jeff') is better off without playoffs - cut it to ten sides and play outside the International windows is my opinion.

Yes a bonus point for a minimum of four tries or more and a net surplus of two/three over the opposition.
LBP as is.

Portnoy,
Round 8 is not an Int Window week (week before the AIs startbut England do not get guaranteed access to the players till the Monday)
Technically neither is Round 10 (AI window is for 3 weeks only) However england do play NZ on this weekend, and pay more to the clubs for the privilege.
The 6Ns window ends on 17th March, so Rounds 18 and 19 are not IW periods either.

Hmmm I wonder why you support this.
You want a traditional league where there are no playoffs yet you don't think necessarily the team that wins the most games should top the table?
Loving the consistency.
Btw I support both the playoffs and bonus point system because I am consistent.

Re: Jeff IW fixtures
I support the play offs but not bonus points.
That does not make me inconsistent as they are two separate things.
For as long as league matches are played over Int weekends, teams will be favoured unduly - hence play-offs being right.
We are watching rugby, not diving, gymnastics or synchronised swimming. Why should teams be awarded points for artistic merit? (TBPs). Play a minnow on a non Int weekend in perfect conditions and you can get a TBP easily. Play them in February on a wet friday night and things are more difficult.
And do not get me started on LBPs. Ooh lets award a point to the loser - cos didn't they do well. It is heartbreaking to lose to the last play of the game - but that is what sport is. I especially hate that you can be 14pts down and score with the last play securing a point. why? You never threatened to win the game. LBPs reward mediocrity.

Would they have finished in the top 4 if BP had been taken away?

Correct.
We would have had to go down to Watford and win. I reckon they would have done it.
season before Sarries would have topped the table. I think BPs are wrong AND I acknowledge they have favoured my team.

Re: Jeff IW fixtures
Hmm. But TBPs do make recognition of ambitious play. Anyone want to see all teams intent on just grinding out a win?
It was a pertinent comment that Tigers only got to the final on BPs in the context of this post. How many games were infected by Jeff matches being played whilst England matches were on?

Ah could not remember the number of wins that they had compared to the saints and the others due to the unlucky start they had.
Just shows how much they could have won the table by if we're not hit by such a bad injury run just before the WC

Not sure how many were infected(maybe by boredom on a few of our games)
But you never posted much about the unfairness of it all during the 6N as the tigers were beating all before them as they had less away with England?

Thought we(sarries) had more out in the 6N certainly 90% of our starting backs, while you had some of your more influential players back on club duty

I think we had 6 in the 6Ns squad, though did get flood back for the VR game, plus Castro.
Sarries had 6 as well i think.
But all irrelevant as we know the rules and just have to live by them.slight ironic grin as I type that and consider who we play first up in Sept)

You may think you know the rules LT, but there's a lawyer hiding round every corner just dying to tell you those rules are now defunct and in actual fact Tigers will be playing in National 3 next season because one of your urinals was blocked from 07.30-09.15 on the 15th March 2011.
Serves you right for trying to dodge the MSC on pishpots, blatant cheating IMHO.
I've heard South Leicester can't wait.
