Crawley Town sign a new defender, Mark Connolly following his release from Bolton Wanderers. Spend some time at Macclesfield on loan last season so i'm not overly excited considering how well they defended last season Whistle

He turned up safely, and i've heard that if found guilty, the maximum penalty is a £2500 fine. Going to be a huge anti-climax.

That's all on the BBC at the moment.
Surprised there is all this palava over something that brings a maximum of a £2,500 fine

I'd wager his suit cost more than that

That's the maximum punishment. You can't change the laws just because he's a famous footballer.

Although i'd imagine the FA will add a ban and their own fine if he is found guilty.

I think he'll be found not guilty, he has always maintained he sarcastically repeated the words Anton accused him of saying, whereas Anton doesn't know and only went on the footage that was shown afterwards. They'll have to prove the context in which they were used.

As distasteful a person as Terry seems, I do think it's a pretty flimsy case, and the fact it's got to court is a bit bizarre.

I read that Terry's team will be bringing up some past indiscretions of Anton during the trial too. I remember when he played for West Ham he got into a fight at a famous nightclub in Ilford (lovely place) that ended with a bottling.

Morning all.

If the general law is a £2,500 fine, then that can't be changed just because he earns more than that. It has to be consistent.

You know the Arsenal left back Andre Santos when he said on Twitter "Come on you gays" Laugh he made another mistake the other day.

Andre Santos
Hi guys, just landed in Heathrow! I was missing this place, 1st training of the season tomorrow, I can't wait Wink)

Yossi Benayoun
Welcome my friend!! Regards and good luck.

Andre Santos
Back on track, see you tomorrow pal. Hope you're well :-0

Yossi Benayoun
Amigooo .. you will see me tomorrow only if you have my picture

Those who don't get it, Yossi was only on loan to Arsenal and is back at Chelsea. Poor old Santos.

Laugh Laugh There are a lot of Footballers who don't understand Football, I think it was Jairzinho who walked of the pitch casually when Brazil won the World Cup he assumed that it was like the league where you play everyone twice Laugh

One of my favourites was when Ruud Van Nistelrooy played his first Man U game, losing in the Charity Shield to Liverpool (2006?) and in the interview afterwards, said how disappointing it was to not get 3 points in his first game picard

2001 and he scored in that game too. To be fair Ruud is not the only one to use that term, I've heard a few players and manager say it in the FA Cup.

You'll only get 1 random injury if you aren't in the cup, rather than two (one being from the starting XI and the other random)

So if you only get one injury, that's why (not that I'd see anyone complaining)

It was a little joke Hero, I posted that message after Marky did the injuries. I know how hard it is to put up lawyers and injuries especially when you've got a real job and the site to run.

Sodhat was the only one that got it.
