Another 2 winners there (1 saved by crap)... GET IN! It is taking every bit of genius to get round these defensive conditions of today.

Well, it already sounds like the match is making him pretty miserable - don't want to make it any worse.
Anyway, probably a bit happier now!

Good for Roger. He has the lead.
To progress to the final, he has to win this fourth set.
If it goes to five, Novak gets a chance to defend his title on Sunday.

Like I said - make him serve it out and tension will always come into it especially a match of this importance. Fed right back in the match now and I feel Fed simply must win this in four sets otherwise my money is on Djokovic. A mighty strange match so far. The first two sets were pretty flat whilst the third set was much better - some great tennis being played.

OK Novak, we know his serve his better than yours. But if he's beating you in the long rallies too, the game really is up.
Hurts me as a Novak fan to watch but I have to recognise that Fed is the one with the guts to make the first strike and it's being rewarded.

There is no point opening the roof, having a huge delay for rain to come back and another delay. Stop it.

Re: Wimbledon Day 11 - Mens Semi-Finals
Roger would be second favourite in the 5th set for sure but remember they have been playing short sets. A 5th set match finishing say 6-4 in the 5th today would have the duration in terms of number of games and minutes of some 4 setters. So physical tiredness won't be an issue.
Djokovic might have the mental edge though in a close 5th setter if that's what you mean.

Re: Wimbledon Day 11 - Mens Semi-Finals
A set Fed definitely deserved - forced several opportunities, but Djokovic fought well and had a little luck (the net cord when Fed was there for the put-away volley).
Great final point, even if Fed had to win it about 3 times because of Djoko's speed in defence.
First two sets was a case of one player playing fairly well and the other not so much, but the third saw the quality rise as both played their A game at the same time.
Best hope for Murray is for Djokovic to take the 4th and then for them to Isner v Mahut the 5th.

Good point with regards the match passing quickly but would take Djokovic's mental edge there. We have seen him time and again come from the dead in matches to win in five sets against all of the top players - not a claim Fed can hold lately. However, at the mo Djoko looking uneasy at 0-30.

Re: Wimbledon Day 11 - Mens Semi-Finals
Federer had to fight hard to get a break in the 3rd but that one at the start of the 4th was handed on a plate.
Important game at 2-0.
3-0 would be huge..

Oh well, I think that's that. Novak's crumbled. He's been chucking in rotten service games out of the blue all week but this time he's against an opponent who can punish him. Going out with a whimper somewhat.
At least I can enjoy the final as a neutral!

Surely Djokovic must up his level at some point in this set. At least take a few more risks on the return.

Re: Wimbledon Day 11 - Mens Semi-Finals
After the matches he's lost to Djokovic, the match point saves before, no way is this over. Arguably Federer even needs a double break or could at least do with one.
