Can you book your way out of a paper bag?

After buzzmans shoot promo I realised that perhaps we could all do a bit more to contribute to the board and that a regular feature or competition would be great to get some interest and entertainment going on here, I like Brett's promo competition idea but I feel a fantasy booking tournament could have more legs and after reading Kamikaze’s ‘make them relevant’ thread about big zeek it got me thinking.
 
So the premise will be:
 
Two posters will book a topic, a wrestler’s progression or a feud etc. and pm with their ‘story’ I will then post it up and the board will vote on the winner, it will take the shape of a knockout tournament, the length and amount of round s will obviously depend on the number of entrants, therefore please sign up below and I will add you to the list.
 
Ideally I would like this get off the ground asap and the first match up on Monday so if you’re interested in getting some banter and general discussion going sign up and we can try and get this going!
 
As with the WWC we can make this an annual event

I think we had similar format with 606v2 KOTR last year, but it died a very slow painful death.

Still sounds like a good idea. It would entertain me briefly.

I guess we both struck out, we can only but try.

I'd like to take part, but for the next week at leas my time will be very limited and I'm away on holiday at the end of the month for a week, if I could take part, I'm all in, if not it's fair enough

I'm up for that, though the obvious issue with the KOTR was that people saw it as being a popularity contest. I would say that you would need to make it anonymous in some way to prevent this from being an accusation.

This idea never got off the ground but due to a combinations of factors: Christmas over, back to work, bored, WWC finished for another year I wanted to give it another shot.

My suggestion would be to run it as a Wrestling Apprentice style where people involved are split into two teams and they're given a subject to put forward their ideas upon.
I've been involved in a similar one on the football games section and they can be fun.

Looks like a four way dance then between me, doc, hero and Chris

I'll PM the three of you with the topic and then get booking it will be up to board to vote on there favourite the winner will bag 10 points, second place 5. Will make it a regular feature with a league table. The post will be anonymous to avoid a popularity contest (as I would obvious walk that)

I'd hold fire atm and see if more what to join in in the Apprentice style format.

I'll give it a go, hopefully get a chance over the weekend to something half decent together

will it be both tna and wwe and how much do we have to write?

The subjects will vary from match to match and will include TNA and wwe, with such a small group ATM we will all write on the same subject and the board will vote for their favourite. Should more people join up I will narrow it down to triple threats. You can write as much as you like and in as much detail.

Think I'd struggle with TNA unless it was 5 ways to it better! My boss left early today so think I made a good start on this week subject!
