The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Antananarivo Arms, Madagascar
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Antananarivo Arms Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to Madagascar, where 35,000 raucous fans recently watched the home side upset Namibia in a 110-point thriller.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of the Madagascan team war dance, Japan/NRL-bound Sonny-Bill Williams, Bradley Wiggins and the prematurely-retired Mark Boucher above the bar.

At 114.5m, the ArcelorMittal Orbit is the UK’s tallest sculpture and stands 22 metres taller than New York City’s Statue of Liberty.
PAH! It's 5.5m shorter than the Dublin Spire. Which is also completley crap. So we win at being crap Britain. TAKE THAT!

Anybody out there going to Paul Simon Graceland gigs in coming weeks in for a treat. Tour opened here last night and was a fantastic gig - opened with a few newish Simon songs before the old Graceland band and Ladysmith Black Mambazo came on and we had the album from start to finish. Then a few old faithfuls from the old S&G years - Boxer, Sound of Silence - before more Graceland stuff as encores. About 2.5 hours - not bad for a 70-y-o.
Then a few creamy black ones in a very nice pub in Ringsend.
Gibbo, u get tickets for the gig in Amsterdam

Isn’t that Lakshmi Mittal fella one of the richest people in the world, made the news a few years ago for buying a £100million mansion in Chelsea or Knightsbridge or something?
It would make you sick wouldn’t it…

Careful As, they might send along some cow-bells too.
The Waikato has a lot of dairy farms, which lead to the NPC team being nicknamed the "Mooloos". Fans bring cow-bells to matches (you probably heard them during the NZ vs Ireland test in Hamilton). Jangling the bells and chanting "mooloo ole ole ole; mooloo; ole" is how rugby fans in the "Tron" (Hamilton) greet opposition goal kickers .

Afternoon all
Hope everyone is well. Due to a change in circumstance (the wife damaging her back) I have 2 spare tickets for the JP Morgan 7's at the Stoop tonight if anyone is interested. I will be getting there at about half seven.
Let me know if you want to go.

Lucky, my mate Andy got the dvd (+ the 1973 Baa baas v NZ game). Not sure if it features th3 tests in full. I'll find out where he got them. They were cheap too.
P.M me when you find out too....would be a good Christmas present for the old man!!
The DVDs are on Amazon for around £11.50 (I think the Baa Baas one is only £3.50). All you need to do is Google "Barbarians v New Zealand 1973 DVD" and you should get the Amazon hit near the top of the search. The Amazon page offers the 2 DVDs together if you want them.

I'm sure there will be some London Irish fans queueing for tickets when I get there that I can offload a couple of freebies on.

He was right on one or two, but most of it was bollix. I think Gray is a bit overhyped but if he keeps up what he is doing he will certainly be WC and he would start for the Lions if they were playing tomorrow.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Antananarivo Arms, Madagascar
I don't think Gray is overhyped at all to be honest. He isn't the complete player just yet but he has shown more promise than any other second row in a long time. I don't think people realise he is just 22 years old. Gray is up there with the best already, and I think people will start noticing why this season.

Oc course Roar, he is a young lad like. For his age he is performing superbly, my post on the thread kinda says my sentiments. He has a bit to go but he is on his way to becoming one of the beast locks out there.

Watching the SupeRugby repeat now. Good stuff. HT at the minute.
BBQ tomorrow and hopefully get to watch Wigan Warriors v Leeds Rhinos in the Challenge Cup. Gonna try watching Haye v Chisora and then stay up for Kahn in the early hours.
I'd take this weather tomorrow.

Well, fast and furious that game may have been, but there were far too many errors for to be a classic imo.

haha aye just a bit
And yes she was very lovely She had me trying to hang up a flower window decoration for her, but I was too much of a shortarse to do it properly!
Oooo I can't wait for tomorrow. I'm going to be a nightmare on the train on the way up, my friend might actually hurt me. All I want to do is sing les mis songs, but she's never seen it so I don't want to spoil it for her (which, let's face it, my singing really will!).

You can see now why I say she's a whirlwind. She has a way of getting people to do things for her, she won't take no for an answer especially when it comes to her flowers

We have an assh*le in the pub here (no, not in here) peeing everyone off, and he's been told to sling his hook by my mate. This could get interesting because he's just hanging around glowering at everyone.
Two girls have already told him to leave them alone.

I wish I was there . I put a guy out of a Pub in Rugby when we were over for the Ulster v Leicester game. He had been giving his bird a lot of grief and she was crying. I went up to him (he was about 6' 2") and told him he was out of order and it was time to leave.
He left!!
I breathed out!!

Course I would. After I'd got my team of independent experts to evaluate where I went wrong and restablish my routines, lines and techniques.
