Re: Big Premier League Signings II
yer sorry my mistake just realised but you get my point! (i was thinking about agger & kjaer for a moment so it distracted my train of thought)
It's Man City's fault for offering these players such ludicrous long term contracts and tells you all you need to know about Adebayor as a man. Who is Tottenham's main option to sign now as Adebayor's replacement?

Said above they had interest in Rondon, so I'd guess him. Not enamoured with Adebayor in any case. Certainly not for 180k pw

Well you could try and include Higuain in any Modric deal, Berbatov could be available.
not sure Vertonghens long term position is CB.

That will put a spanner in the works of City trying to get RVP, the pair despise one another.

The first team vs reserve games in training could get fiesty.
Man City will loan him out again in a worst case scenario, though Spurs may not be keen.

Source? If anything it doesn't surprise me that they will just look to offload to Juventus now and not face the risk of losing him to their biggest rivals in Manchester. It's getting quite late in July, so they will want the money so they can quickly reinvest.......makes sense. £20m is a great deal in my opinion, seeing as he's nearly 30.

i dont believe for a second were bidding 32 million for lucas, alot of deals we do often include add ons like the rooney deal. we very rarely pay out right huge bids. anderson and nani deals were similar to this.

Re: Big Premier League Signings II
Meh you take a gamble, can end up with Hernandez or a bebe.
Would be amazed if we had the cash touted for Lucas.
Potentially spending 60million and no centre midfielder recruited, it's crazy.

Would really rather the Lucas money go to a proper cm, cdm and a left back and right back.
I'm not going to complain if we do get him but I do hope there's more funds for other areas we need to strengthen.

It is. An attacking midfielder. After Fab left, Arsenal missed his link play. Hopefully this guy can be the difference.
I'm one of those who thinks that RvP leaving could be a good thing for Arsenal. Walcot would be a bigger loss imo.

Not good enough more like. Ramsey is more deep lying and who knows when he'll come back. Ramsey may not fulfil his potential (which is huge due to the nasty injury against the neanderthals of Stoke. Rosicky is good but not good enough and Arshavin will be sold. Arteta is not an attacking midfielder.

Their defence is ok when fully fit. Its the midfield that's been the problem. Giving the ball away and not winning it back as we used to do.

I heard Malaga were John-Flecked because they weren't paying players or taxes. That may or may not be true.
Edit: Here's something about wages.

That's what I thought, but apparently their chairman annoyed Barca and Real and now the consequences are being felt.
