I was told by a mate in the know that the discussions with Man United for Baines were pretty much agreed, They were just thrashing out amount up front versus add-ons.

My mates dad is 82, lives virtually next to Goodison and is a livelong member. He goes and has a cuppa with the staff at the club almost every day and is actually a pretty reliable source. The only flaw is that there are times when he gets the wrong end of the stick coz he's a bit old and deaf, but I would make him a 90% reliable source of information.

On Moutinho, a while back (last summer, maybe the summer before) he told me that United had enquired seriously about Rodwell, but as a fall back option for Moutinho, who they were pretty serious about. This was just before he moved to Porto, whenever that was. Not sure why nothing happened back then, but SAF must be a fan

Lucas Moura to United is pretty much a done deal is what I heard. Moutinho is going to Spurs to replace Modric as Marky says

To be honest, I think it's a player who played at the Euros, based on Fergie's quotes.

Would love to see us get Claudio Marchisio.

I hope Fellaini stays, more than I hope Baines stays!

Ideal world, we keep both, realistic world 1 leaves and I would prefer that to be Baines.

Marchisio is the kind of player United need, but there is no chance of Juve breaking up the Marchisio/Vidal partnership unless offered silly money

Hold on. If Ferguson has said they will try to bring in at least one more face, and hinted at it being someone from the Euros.

Has everyone forgot Robert "flash in the pan" Lewandowski? There's your new signing, Bull forget about Moutinho.

In fairness SAF didn't hint that it would be someone who played at the Euros. He said that the transfer market is always a bit delayed after a major tournament. So he was saying that the Euros meant everything was happening later, not that it was someone from the Euros.

Although he also didn't say it wasn't.

United need an enforcer in midfield. if you brought in only one more midfielder, Moutinho would be a poor bit of management.

If Berbatov goes and Owen released we'd only have Rooney, Welbeck and Hernandez we need to bring in another stiker, a strong tough midfielder and a creative midfielder. An then we should be done.

De Gea + Lindergaard
R.Da Silva + Jones
Evans + Vidic
Ferdinand + Smalling
Evra + Baines
Valencia + Nani
Modric + Felliani
Carrick + Cleverly
Young + Giggs (Bring in another winger)
Rooney + Welbeck
Hernandez + Lewdownski

I didn't, I wanted to do 4 CMs and 4 wingers.

There is no chance if we get Baines that we'll get Felliani. He would have been perfect for us.

Ibrahimovic is class but replacable.

Cherries will be happy. Bournemouth signed Miles Addison from Derby, he's easily yoo good for League 1, and proof that they're intent on buying their way out of League 1.

Whose up for some deals, I need to overhaul my squad a bit to build for next season?

All the following are available for cash (min of TM value):

Julian Speroni
Nathaniel Clyne
Kolo Toure
Walter Samuel
Fabricio Coloccini
Seydou Keita
Elias
Gary Medel
Ross Barkley
Miralem Sulejmani
Keisuke Honda
James Milner
Hatem Ben Arfa
Nilmar
Adrian

And these are available for cash, but it would take an offer significantly over their TM value...

Did anyone watch the England V Greece U-19 semi final last night? We lost 2-1 they had thier keeper sent off we missed a penalty, arghhhh England are so crap we might turn into Scotland Laugh The only good thing to come out from that was Ross Barkley he was better then any other player on the pitch and at times he was on another wave length to his teammates has to get more game time at Everton next season.

Has been hailed as the best player to ever come through our system. Given the obvious other player that came through our ranks, that is some statement.

Moyes does tend to hold young players back from the first team longer than a lot of other managers. Sometimes I think he is too cautious

If he hadn't missed a year with a broken leg, he would be in our first team by now.

That is some statement, you reckon even ahead of the white Pele? Hopefully he'll be a first teamer soon, he is a talent and I noticed it a lot yesterday when he was too good for the U-19. Whats happening with Rodwell still injured? Can he break back into the starting 11?
