First topic message reminder :

Hello and welcome to the Dew Drop Inn, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

This week the pub has set up in Bridgend, the birthplace of ex Wales and Lions centre Dr. Jack Matthews, who has sadly passed away.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Dr Jack Matthews and his Welsh centres partner Bleddyn Williams.

All right Rodders? Just had a nice time at the yearly Cricket & Hockey Club BBQ. It was full of young, gorgeous, pished, leggy, Dutch Hockey Girls. Nightmare. Cool

I really love the cricket crowd. Great mix of Indians, Clogs, West Indians, Ghanaians, Aussies, English, Kiwis, Saffers and others... But they all love to party, dance, cook food and drink Rum - at the same time. All with their familes and friends. Just... Perfection.

I am the token Paddy and I love it. Kept getting fed food by the wimmin and rum by the men. Playing pished cricket like Hurling and giving the kids a laugh. Love em. Know most of em for 20 years. Its Family. zen

I see Ireland won't be at the RWC 7s in Moscow. Why is there such apathy to that game? It could be really beneficial to some of our younger players.

Munsty,

I think we should do something similar to the English clubs. Have a pre-season Sevens tournament with the four provinces in Dublin. Could just be a one-day thing with a Round Robin between the four of them. Maybe have the top AIL clubs enter teams into a seperate tournament to pad out the schedule and make it more of an event.

For the provinces, it be a bit of variety in pre-season and good skills work. Sevens is great for skills and fitness so it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a wee bit of it in pre-season as a warm-up for the real thing.
