Second chance at Edinburgh for Hutton?
Looks like Rory Hutton may well get a second bite at the cherry, so to speak, in terms of his career with Edinburgh rugby. With David Blair's retirement, and Phil Godman's return from injury still uncertain, Edinburgh will be left to start their Magners League campaign next season with just young Alex Blair. For all the the youngest Blair has bags of talent, injury has largely prevented him from gaining the experience that one would have hoped for this season and his progress been limited.

Of course there's every chance that Edinburgh will opt for youth again, with Currie's Matthew Scott favourite to be given a contract after some useful age-group appearances for Scotland this season, but surely Hutton's name must be in the reckoning?

Good to see, but I would not like to think Godman is still going to be in contention next season, unlikely Phil will make the world cup squad but will be a stalwart at Edinburgh when the Magners League starts and most of the squad are in New Zealand.

Hutton must have been badly deflated and dissallusioned after being let down badly by Edinburgh after his MOM performance last year against Cardiff
