Whilst transparent voting would be great it just doesn't work IMO.
Everyone starts noticing scores etc, you get a lot more people voting draws so that they don't upset anyone, and there is never any even remotely near constructive criticism.

Do it similar to the realistic league rules where you can't play the same team for the game after so you have to mix them up.

I don't think you should just do your own 4 team tournament, it would be fun for you guys but give others a chance.
