If I'm running the 5 a side cup, it will be named The Nick Fury Memorial 5 a side Trophy, and it will take place in a cage with no throw-ins like that Nike advert.

How about this idea I had for the league, perhaps not for this season coming but for the reboot...

Half time team talk

People vote on the game for the first half, and the teams involved get to know the score at that point.
They then get to write a minimal half team tactic for their team which is then voted on for the second half which may then change peoples vote, scores already submitted remain but extra goal can obviously be added.

So for example at half time Baggins are losing 2-0 to Neymar Utd. I then motivate the team and change the tactics whilst Cherry doesn't change his. People then vote that in the second half I pull it around and I win 3-2.

What do people think?

Also couldn't we all just do:

Team talk: blah blah blah

Then tactics as normal

Then where subs are put:

Second half team talk if losing
Second half team talk if drawing
Second half team talk if winning

Then its still only voting once

It would mean a bit of extra effort but it would allow teams to tweak their team based then on what the opposition has put.
To me it always seems a touch silly that if you set up to deal with a team but clearly the other team isn't doing that the player would still follow that instruction for 90m, having the ability to alter your tactics mid way through the game I reckon would allow the better managers to adapt to how the game is going.

The other idea I had was that for games there is a separate page set up with a poll listing all the score options and that everyone in the leagues can then vote on them.

It was me who voted 6-0 to Marky and I don't think was silly at all.

What was silly was to play 6 defenders (well 5 if you exclude the one in prison) and only defensive midfielders. If you park the bus, you are inviting the team to almost exclusively attack. You run the risk of a good team tearing you apart because you have too many players getting in each others way.

I have seen teams play for damage limitation and still get stuffed 9-0

Hero I think I made a similar suggestion a week or so ago.

Mine was that after both teams have posted tactics, the managers then get to post one extra paragraph (With a max number of words) where they can give additional instruction to react to the other teams tactics

I completely agree. To be honest my comment on 6-0 being silly was an attempt at modesty. To not even suggest the odd counter attack is asking for trouble and only rarely does a Barca/Chelsea scenario happen. Even then Chelsea conceded twice and launched the odd attack.

The weather is very odd here Olly. 1 minute there's not a cloud in the sky and the sun is beating down and the next the mist appears out of nowhere.

Watching Andy Murray and Laura Murray Robson in the mixed doubles, just took the first set 6-1 in 20 mins. The sexual tension between the two is off the chart...
