Murray may be in contention, especially if he wins the US Open.

He filled his needs though, I don't think he has been bummed by any stretch.

He improves overall, and I get some bargaining chips.

I'd say Wiggins, unless Murray can win the US Open, Farah can win the 5000m or someone else can do something better.

I like Sahin. I think he is a match for Moutinho, probably slightly better and was unlucky with injury.

I think had he not got that injury he would have become first choice for Real ahead of Khedira.

Mandzukic could be the iffy one though. You can see him spending a lot of time on the Bayern bench and disappearing back into obscurity. If Gomez picks up a bad injury, Bull would be my number 1 suspect now

Wiggins has to win SPOTY and so he should. Even if Murray wins the US Open is should still be Wiggins.

First ever TDF winner in 100 years. Not Brit had ever finished in the Top 3 even!!! Also he won another gold medal, to take his total tally up to 4 Olympic golds, 1 silver and 2 bronze!!! Murray has done well, but if it's not Wiggins this year, it's an outrage

Is Hulk more a RW or LW?

I've seen him play mainly at LW for Brazil but I've not seen enough of Porto to know for sure.

I would agree about Sahin, but that was before the injury. It's like Wilshere, he hasn't played enough to warrant a big rating in my opinion.

But Bull does up his cash a lot, so that is quite good for him

Hulk's left footed but plays both sides.

He's been playing RW for Brazil in the Olympics and I believe he's been RW for Porto.

I think it is a massive f-up tbh.

Not so much what Bull has got out of it (I rate Sahin especially), but some of the offers Bull has been offered in the past and flatly refused. He has been offered more and it could have got more easily.

Moutinho couldn't win a raffle before the Euros for votes on here, was never highly rated, recall he was always thought of as the weak link in my Porto team so had to offload him.

Of course Sodhat, as Hero has inadvertantly mentioned, you'd get the Porto link of Hulk/Moutinho/Rodriguez which wouldn't be bad at all.

I've got to admit, I have never, ever seen Hulk play LW.

I would take Sahin over Moutinho. I also think Rodriguez has a massively inflated rating.

In real life, I think Bull has done alright and set himself up to replace in star players (cash becomes valuable again right about now).

On here though, overrated is a good thing, so not so sure

But that was ages ago Hero, times have moved on now, and Moutinho especially if he moves (I dont think he will) will go up even more in rating. I have always thought he was a good player tbh

I'm considering which players to sign at the moment.

Ramires is equally effective as a RW too, so I may just keep hold of him.

You may prod at them, but come rain or shine, someone from Porto will be rated. It used to be Falcao and Hulk and now Moutinho and Rods are moving up.

So do Celtic, you going to put their midfield in your side.

I am not saying these players are bad player. They're not, they're good players. But they do get elevated to a much higher rating than I think they deserve. You could put Holt in that Porto side, he would score 30 goals and suddenly be a world class striker in this game.

But as I alluded to, being overrated is a good thing in these games.

The difference is, Porto actually have some sort of pedigree in European Football. By your theory, Linfield could play a Champions League qualifier and be on the same level as Porto and others. Besides, Holt isn't prolific enough to score 30 goals. #fishing

It was you who answered that they play in the Champions League in answer to my statement of Porto being giants of the game. I wouldn't say Porto's pedigree is significantly different from Celtic's. They both have some history of success, but overall, they generally get knocked out early in the CL and both dominate their league against a majority of significantly weaker sides

Porto players have long been overrated in these games.

Ironically, their best player (in my opinion), Lucho, is not in the league* (I thought incorrectly)

Forgot about that.

I'll do it now. I have two tasks left (which with an interview round for the last four should be enough).

Just need to decide which way around to do them.

Hero - you around, I'm going to PM you to get your feel for which is a better Final task

It was you who answered that they play in the Champions League in answer to my statement of Porto being giants of the game. I wouldn't say Porto's pedigree is significantly different from Celtic's. They both have some history of success, but overall, they generally get knocked out early in the CL and both dominate their league against a majority of significantly weaker sides,
