Sad News

What's happened?

One of Mums friends has passed away , she was really upset . Did my best to try and cheer her up but its hit her hard .

So sorry to hear. I hope she can remember the happy times. It's hard to deal with such a personal loss as we both know.

Sadly the friends she meets up with each week are getting fewer and fewer .

Sad isn't it. Mum has lost a few too. One of her best childhood friend from NZ... zany woman too... died recently. I noticed Mum still keeps all her emails.

Rang her this morning and she says shes ok , but as soon as the missus gets back with the car we are going to go round and see her just to make sure .

You are a great son... are you going to grab some flowers along the way

Yes the wife should of got some while shes shopping , The lady thats passed was the friend Mum used to go shopping with and meet up for a pot of tea with most so its hit her harder then some of the others shes lost .

I suppose you can help her look at the happy times and perhaps enjoy watching some of the Olympics together.

She had a couple of her friends round , who i hadn't seen for awhile ...it was very embarrassing for me actually with all the " Oh hasn't he grown " ( er No i haven't grown since i was a teenager ) ... " Oh hes a good looking lad " ( lad im 42 !! it was a tad awkward as she is in her 80's ) ..... " Oh he's getting to look more like his Dad all the time " (that one got to me abit )

They were really on form talking about their friend remembering all the daft things they used to do . I think after yesterday it was just what Mum needed .................... me being there just gave them more bullets to fire

It's always a difficult time. Life can be quite cruel to us but it's important to keep positive after such a big loss.

Popped round earlier but she wasn't in so i rang her and she asked why i was fussing so much .
