Too easy again. Not convinced they should score from first phase though.

Australia losing the plot here. AB's putting too much pressure on them. Everytime they run with the ball they end up closer to their own line.

Beale having a 'mare. Both tries from him missing tackles and numerous dropped balls. This is becoming comical.

The half time break can't come soon enough for Oz. 15 point difference and this is exactly where Oz didn't want to be. ABs have cushion and now Australia has to find a way to the try line. Other than a Genia bit of brilliance it doen't look likely.

Argentina would fancy taking an Australia side in this form. Unfortunately for Los Pumas, I'm sure the Wallabies will play a lot better than this in their other matches but those games will be interesting.
Just as I type that, Australia pull one back. I'm sure the Aussie fans are hoping I continue to write them off

If Oz could hold on to the ball in the second half, they should be all right.

The game needed that and the Wallabies sure as hell needed it. Keep the ball and get some quick ball and they're in with a shout. ABs will be disappointed with letting them back in the game and should get a rollocking at half time.

The problem the Argies are going to have is that their coach isn't picking the best team available to him due to the power the senior players in the squad have over him. Its likely that they are going to try go the forward route but they aren't as strong their as they were a few years ago and the talent they have in the backs will be wasted, especially with Juan Martín Hernández at ten.

What has happened to Kurtley Beale, he is not having a good season. Nowhere near the best in the world he was this time last year.

Too many amateurish mistakes by OZ
That second try to me is obstruction by Nonu, I just can't brlieve you are allowed to take a guy out like that in defence.
Pocock is quiet.
One question though, when there is a knock on, and the player that knocked on, why does it escelate to a penalty?
Is it not supposed to be no advantage therefor scrum?

Don't understand the first question. On the second point, there can be advantage after a scrum but it depends where on the pitch it is. I think Rolland didn't allow advantage was because they ABs were so deep in their own half. Or at least that's the best way I can rationalise it.

I thought he looked pretty damned good for the Rebels when fit, ESP at 10, even more so considering the "pack" he was playing behind

Re: Wallaby v All Blacks: Live Match Thread
I think Beale is hugely talented, but he ain't Einstein. The last kick before half should have been delayed for ten seconds, then the kick to touch would have ended the half instead of giving an additional possession to the ABs. Its just one kick, but could have put the game away if the ABs scored.wales606 wrote:What has happened to Kurtley Beale, he is not having a good season. I didn't see that happening, but one possible reasoning is that the player is holding on on the ground. I would just give a scrum, and I haven't seen Rolland do otherwise today but then again it is 4 in the morning so I might be tired.
On Rolland, I know he has given a lot of penalties so far, but he can't ignore penalties just for the sake of keeping the game moving. If the players are stupid enough to commit dumb penalties, he has to give them. The penalty against Genia, was especially poor because Rolland warned him not to do it, and he ignored him, you can't blame Rolland for that.

Finally the AB's penalised for being in front of the last feet. I also thought Nonu took out Horne for their second try but not sure it would have made much difference.

Beale has done this before against SA. Had a shocker and turned villain and then turned hero in the second half. Only 5 points difference now. ABs better score now.

If Carter gets this it'll be a psychological blow. Wallabies were desperate to get out that left where they had numbers but smart play from ABs and isolated Pocock.

Rare mistake from Jane. Beale just got a touch to it. Messam could've gone two times tonight for the line. He's a forward. He's allowed to go for the line with that head of steam up.
Still NZ is down the right end of the park.

New Zealand have butchered at least three tries which is more than they usually bomb in a year.

Deny the Wallabies a bonus point with this kick. Hore vital turnover. This has been the scrappiest game I've seen in ages. Fair play to Wallabies holding on to be able to win. NZ have lacked a ruthless edge.

No doubt. Their handling and slow ball let them down tonight. Unfortunately the ABs didn't move up a gear either and I expect them to do so at Fortress Eden.

Congratulations All Blacks, but to be honest they should have won this by more the Wallabies were terrible in the first half.
The All Blacks must be stopped at the breakdown, Pocock didn't feature today and the Ozziescain't going to have a good Champioship with this type of error ridden performance.

They'll have to improve a lot more than their handling, and the slow ball is down to them have no depth at all in their attacking play. They look like they are hoping to play off the cuff and hope one of their backs makes a break, they have no coherent, no recognisable game plan.
