Are We Over Our Olympic Fever And Ready For More Tennis Next Week?
I have to say I have been glued to the Olympics. So many stories. Not just the lure of the tennis event, but the whole event has had me gripped. Yes I have basked in the amazing success of Team Great Britain, but also the smaller stories such as Sarah Attar as Saudi Arabia's first woman in the Olympics or Stephen Kiprotich winning Uganda's first medal in 40 years. The whole games I think has touched the human in all of us. Today is the last day and hopefully the London Legacy will live on and inspire our children and our children's children for many years beyond 2012.
So, are we ready for the business end of the tennis calendar?

What an Olympics it's been for GB, unbelievable. Loved every minute.
I'm looking forward to the tennis though. Not so much the football season though, which is unusual for me.
I don't know how I'm going to get through tomorrow knowing there's no Olympic events to watch after work!

My football interest died years ago Danny. I blame the World Cup in 2010. Never got over how poor it was. Also the debt that continues to grip football makes it un-bearable to watch teams on the brink
I have first week off during the first week of the US Open. I shall be bleary eyed for that week and the SKy + will take a battering

I hope to see tennis courts full of kids, tracks with kids running, swimming pools with some youngsters.
Nothing is more despressing than seeing sports facilities empty and un-used.

I have both weeks off for the US open. My fiancé wants us to go and get a bit of sun somewhere in Europe, which is fine by me... IF the hotel has Eurosport in the rooms!
LK - yeah my interest is waning too. I prefer playing football to watching it nowadays.

I am ready what I have always loved about tennis and following the tour is that hope springs eternal and there is always another big tournament right around the corner. I think this is shaping up to be the tightest race for #1 that we have well since 2003, the USO is looking like it will be the tiebreaker for year end 1 like it has been for so many years. That is one of the best aspects about the final grandslam brawl of the year in NY. It usually ends up being the real tour championship coming at the end of the grandslam calendar and this year it looks like that will happen again.

Now we don't have the prospect of John Isner reaching a Masters final and hence there now being no danger of us having to question the meaning of life (or at least the quality of the mens game) I'm back for Tennis
