Playoff Scenarios

Based on this week only

Guernsey Division
- San Francisco Trams have clinched the division.
They will be the 3rd Seed if the New England Canaries win this week.
They cannot clinch number 2 seed this week.
They cannot be number 1 seed regardless.

Jersey Division
- The Division is still open.
- Dyslexia United will win the division with a win.
They will be at least number 2 seed with a win.
They cannot clinch number 1 seed this week.
They cannot be number 3 seed, but can be seeded 4th or 5th.
- BamBams Warriors must beat Dyslexia United to stay in the division hunt.

Alderney Division
- New England Canaries have clinched the division.
They will be at least number 2 seed with a win.
They cannot clinch number 1 seed this week.

Wildcards
- There are three spots up for grabs.

That was me. With Vick out and Ponder and Weeden not very constitent, I thought Wilson maybe an upgrade at QB and as RDuncan stated you have Gresham too at TE.

True - if you don't ask you don't get. But Wilson isn't really an upgrade, and Gresham is a good flex option for me. Certaily willing to entertain offers for either of the TE's, but not when it's a QB I could pick up off the WW for top 3 TE. Ponder certainly a better fantasy play than Wilson, Vick likely to be back if not this week then the next, so at best that's a one week fill in, with debatable upside on what I already have, for big downgrade the rest of the season (admitedly not long) at TE. At least that's my thinking at the moment. I'll see if there's a trade we can work though...

Yeah, Pats D has been doing me favors in the keeper league, but I was disappointed to see that you had them to wipe out my Dez Bryant celebrations!

Exactly. I don't get why people need to shout about trade offers publicly (unless it is completely ridiculous eg kicker for RB, IR player for RG3 etc). You may need a win that week to get to playoffs so will trade a better player to get a win that week. No point in keeping a player for the playoffs if you're not going to get there.
All depends on what the other team needs/has cover at, all it takes is to hit the reject button and put a "lol" comment.

Also, it helps if you put a kicker in your starting line up. laughing

I think I can...

The positions in the divisions are determined by divisional games. The Stormbringers has a divisional record or 3-1 and you, Prestige World are 2-2 (as am I, LA Leopards).

The play-off seedings are worked out on head-to-heads with teams that are tying. As you beat Bambam and the Stormbringers (Forward Pass) lost against them, you overtake them.

On a side note, I got pretty worried that I was going to lose last night, from a 37 point lead. Bryce Brown was running all other the Panthers and at one point that 37 point lead didn't really look that big.

I need to win next week and hope one of the other 7-5 teams loses.

As noted above, the division winners are determined by head to head and then points scored, however the overall positions which defined the wild cards are treated as a much bigger division and so with the congestion around 7-5 teams the head to head system expands and the outcomes can flip around because certain teams are split by points scored because they have never played or because there is some triangle of A beat B, B beat C, but C beat A...

I believe I stay up in 3rd because i'm a division winner and so I don't partake in the tiebreaker

Right - so the playoffs are decided and are listed up top.

No crazy tiebreakers to get in... just needed 8-5... one better than last years playoff scramble at 7-6 for which I was the main beneficiary!

And the wild card playoff immediately brings us a rematch of last years title decider in my own San Francisco Trams vs The Stormbringers of Forward Pass.
