Also because bath double the salary of everyone they recruit.
anyway there wwas nothing dodgy about the purchase of this restaurant:

Rumours that Peter Tom always leaves a 5,000% tip are unfounded slurs.

Because if it was dodgy in any way possible, they would obviously put that on the website, obviously! Surprised you didn't use a wikipedia article as evidence, it might be more trustworthy! haha

Nothing dodgy at all. Castro told me himself:
"Eeet was my lifelong ambition, to make da food jus like my momma"
suggestions that Catepillar sorted out free farm equipment for Julian white are also a pack of lies.
Slightly more seriously, I am not sure that Tigers would get away with funding the purchase - but they certainly do put some business that way.

So its true!!! What is going on? That does mean we are looking very light at centre for the rest of the season, at least he will be around for the next 2 games so Donald or Heathcote should be back at 10 by then. Has to be more than this than meets the eye?
Bret Sharman as injury cover too...

We went into an HC final with a midfield of Vesty, Erinle, Hipkiss - and they probably performed better than their illustrious opponents, so you never know

OB leaving is depressing news but sounds like you can't blame him.
Also new mngt usually means some fallout and this is probably the start of it. I expect a saffer to show up shortly......

Rumour has it John Kirwan is axing Gareth Anscombe from the Blues, despite the lad's form in ITM cup. Of course, with Anscombe's Dad coaching Ulster they may have the inside running

Interesting Pete C. I think he would be great for Bath. Very versatile player. Could be used more as a 12 for them.
He's the kind of big name they like to be associated with.

We are rubbish FACT!
if anything when I see Quins and Saint I wonder would we be better off spending a year in the Championship, at least we could cut lose all the dead wood and re-build the club.

Re: The Bath Rugby Thread
I'm almost too ashamed to come on here today after that shower of sht we produced at the weekend.
Against Saints I was disappointed to lose but I felt we still took a small step forward, yet this weekend has shown just how big a job it is to turn Bath around, I hope the coaching staff are up to it, because if we lose against Sale then I'd hate to see the reaction of us very calm, well balanced Bath fans.
IMO very few of the squad have earned the right to wear the Bath shirt, the club has lost its soul and we need to get it back or else we'll be lucky to stay up let alone qualify for the HC.
There might yet be another signing to replace Barkley but one man doesn't make a team and IMO Bath haven't been a team for a very long time.

Re: The Bath Rugby Thread
Despite popular opinion - Bath were always a team that was built on the hard core of the pack. Until you get players of the character of Dawe, Coochie, hall, Spurrell & simpson it will be an uphill struggle.

Those clubs could cut lose the dead wood because, while there were overpayed players, they were of Jeff quality and other clubs would take them on. If Bath had the same kind of fire sale, they could end up losing their promising quality players and still be stuck with overpayed players, but be in the championship. I'd worry if bath did go down (unlikely) whether their back office could clean house and get them back up in a season.

Not good. Anyone got a link?
I was hoping to catch both Bath vs Sale and Ospreys vs Munster this weekend but the O's are Saturday evening not Sunday as I thought.
Will be at the rec this week though. Should be a great clash with Sale it was a decent game between them and London Welsh last weekend.

Dear Victor, in your day Bath supplied about half the England team, and regularly fielded a over a dozen internatonals if you include Simon Geoghan. Has Bath's decline been bad for the England squad ?
And secondly, do you regret Bath not moving to a proper ground since then ?

HKC - It's not just Glaws
Dear Victor what’s your view on the Rec?
I love the atmos on match day and it would be a sad sad day if/when we no longer play there, but IMHO Bath need to make the move. We’ve stood still for too long and allowed other lesser clubs to muscle in on the spoils.

Dear Hersh
Thank you for your question.
I love the Rec too, most picturesque ground in the Jeff but not fit for purpose since we turned pro. Nor is Bath city for that matter , but that is part of its charm.
Now, I remember back in Port Harcourt...infrastructure.. . but no I digress,
We should have merged with Bristol years ago, but there it is... just still bumbling along instead. Meanwhile Glaws for example have developed an excellent venue and have stolen the W country leadership in this regard.
regards Victor.
