What the legal position would be if a team before a RWC Final as in 1995 said the whole squad or most of it is to ill to play due to say an outbreak of Flu.That an independent doctor confirmed it,is the match void,awarded by default to the other side ,or just postponed.Also that would all bets be frozen,I am not saying anything about match fixing or anything like that but a case of genuine illness.Iknow for example a little different I know in 1967 the AllBlacks could`nt play Ireland or any matches there due to foot and mouth disease.Presumeably any antepost bets would have had to be returned in that case.A bit of a legal minefield what?

the betting rules are quite clear cut in these cases, if a game is abandoned or postponed and no result is awarded then bets are returned, if the result is given to the other team bets stand
