Afternoon all,

Nice and simple, what would your ultimate band be? It can include past or present artists, dead or alive. For example:

Jimi Hendrix - Electric Guitar
Noel Gallagher - Guitar/Vocals
Charlie Watts - Drums
Jack Bruce - Bass
Joe Cocker - Lead Vocals

Can be as weird and wonderful as you like.

The key to the ultimate band is balance. Here goes.

Lead Singer: Prince
Backing Vocals: Jackson 5
Rappers/Decks: Run DMC
Lead Guitar: Santana
Guitar: Jack White
Bass: Flea
Drums: John Bonham
Keyboard: Rick Wakeman
Stage Nutters/Dancers: Bez and Clown (From Slipknot)

That is one big a*s band! Its like a cool version of blazin' squad.

You are definitely right about balance, my example wasn't my ultimate band it was literally just an example. You have set a good benchmark!!

Freddie Mercury - Male vocals & Keys
Grace Potter (Grace Potter & The Nocturnals) & Emily Haines (Metric) - Female vocals. Both great.
Matt Bellamy (Muse) - Guitar & Vocals
Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys) - Guitar, Vocals & backup on Keys
Keith Urban - Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo & Ganjo
Chris Wolstenholme (Muse) - Bass
Patrick Carney (The Black Keys) - Drums
Jason Freese (Green Day) - Saxophone, Trombone, Accordion, Mellotrone & Clarinet. If needed.
Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Sarah Buxton & Ashley Monroe - Backing Vocals

I've seen many bands play with three guitarists so thought why not, I just couldn't pick 2 from the 3.
