Well done Cardiff, two welsh sides in the top flight.
Palace throwing it away?

Poor old Barnsley may finally drop this year. Would love Pboro to go, have a real hatred of them

Well I don't fancy Hull to survive in the PL looking at that dross tonight. Damp squib is putting it mildy.
Awful.

They play the wingbacks system, sort of a 5-2-1-2, but I should imagine they will have to improve there squad a fair bit based on tonight

Changing their squad to another would be a good start Olly. That was punishing watching that.

Re: Championship Season Topic
Yeah not getting a shot in anger on goal against the already relegated rock bottom team at home, in a game where a win will all but secure promotion isn't exactly encouraging.
But at times this season I've seen them tear teams apart

To be fair Bruce seems to have done a very good job there. They have been very inconspicuous all season and here they are on the verge. Strange league.
But a great one all the same.

Hull are a decent side, but they'd be my tip to go straight back down. Think Reading level squad
Plus Bruce is a failure at PL level.

I can't see the formation they used tonight working in the Prem.
Especially with the midfielders they used. Quinn, Meyler and Boyd won't cut it as a midfield 3 in the Prem

Re: Championship Season Topic
Crystal Palace v Leicester City today then...
Whats your prediction then Palace fans? Ever since Ian Holloway left us he has had a terrible record against us and I dont think he has managed the winning team yet so Im hoping that run continues. I think its safe to call this a play off 6 pointer...

Re: Championship Season Topic
I dont think any previous encounters is the issue today Shot.
More about how we havent scored for 5 games and picked up only 1 pt out of 15!
The only saving grace is that so many other teams around us have been on a bad run as well. But now that we have dropped to 5th with a real threat of not getting the play off spots- is do or die at the moment!
If the players can play well then we have a chance- I just hope our players have been ripped to shreads- because this is not a run that should be possible with the attacking talent we have!!

by the way i cant really predcict this game with certainty because when you are on a bad run you can lose to anyone and leicester are a pretty decent outfit..
However we do have the quality to win and score goals..
My heart says 2-1 palace, my head says 0-3 leicester

It's tough times for us teams around the play offs
Brighton look to have almost sealed it. Watford have for deffo.
Hull are second and Cardiff top.
Palace have an extra game-- will that matter mind.
Leicester Forrest and Bolton with 2 left and catching up to do

Not jumping on , my son plays for the tigerstrust youth team so he gets tickets every game ( i usually let grandad go with him though ) so i have seen a few games over the last couple of seasons . My lad is really getting into his football and its good to see him getting so excited about players he actually sees and gets to talk to .
When we go to Anfield he might get a glimpse of the players but its not the same .

They ysed to get the odd ticket here and then , but since the Allams took over they have really tried to involve the kids more . They have a couple of players come down to see the kids play and give out autographs and chat to them , and the kids get tickets to games which they take it in turns to use .
I think its a great idea that the club is trying to make the young kids feel apart of things .

Re: Championship Season Topic
Congratulations to Cardiff city on promotion and buzzing for Craig Noone who will be playing in the Premiership next season. Just 5 years ago i believe, he was fixing roofs in Liverpool. How time flies. If they can spend a bit of money correctly they will be a decent bet to survive.
Bristol City relegated isn't much of a surprise. However im sure with S.O.D in charge next season they will have a real go at promotion. Albert Adomah im sure will go. Likely he will join Palace as the replacement for Zaha.
Hull look set to be promoted, however i would love to see Watford sneak in.

Just watching The Footballers Football Show on Sky Sports with the Peterborough chairman, Millwall Chief Exec, and Simon Jordan.
3 things:
1. You can see why Millwall and Peterborough are well run clubs off the pitch.
2. Learnt some stuff on Financial Fair Play.
3. Simon Jordan's a c*nt

Great win Rovers
5 points clear with 2 games left, up to 15th with a better GD than those below us, looking safe now, although until mathematically clear I wont settle just yet.
Secure this Saturday, and we can look forward to a massive clear out this summer

Blackburn seem safe now. As you say James a big clear out and maybe put all of these problems behind them, get a new manager in and move on from them. Maybe actually understand to give him time.

I hope so Nick, I would be happy to see Gary Bowyer get the job, as long as he is backed accordingly by the board and given time and funds.
